After having 2 Rangers drive by us and say hello on their 3rd trip around one of them tells us on hole 7 that we need to pick up the pace No one was ever waiting on a tee box or waiting for us to hit at any point during our front 9. He then followed us for hole 8 and watched us play the entire hole in 8-10min. We were a foursome. After that we saw him again on 13 and this time he says thanks for picking up the pace. We never played faster though?!?!? Needless to say Towne Lakes Golf.....if you do not want amateurs playing your course then I recommend you go private. I have played TLH course many times, but not for a little while. The course was in excellent shape tee to green, especially given the amount of play the course has received lately. Still too many golfers that don't fix ball marks on the green, but despite that and some top dressing, they still rolled pretty well. The rough was more penal than I recall as your ball could disappear even if just off the fairway, and made for some tougher approach shots, but TLH is very much a target course so keeping it in the short grass is always a top priority. Staff is awesome and enjoyed time with some new playing partners. Will be back soon.

Course is in excellent condition. Staff always welcoming and friendly. Great place to play golf!

Course in good shape. Would be better if golfers would properly repair ball marks. Great staff and good food at the Tavern.

Played this course a few times, but not in the past 4-5 years.

Course was in very good condition. Pace of play was remarkably good - never pushed group in front and rarely saw the group behind us.

Staff was extremely pleasant and courteous for a public course. Will definitely return.

I love the course and layout, but have yet to play well here. The conditions are good and the staff are friendly. The rough can be challenging as balls disappear, but that is golf in Georgia... and you aren’t supposed to be in the rough! The bar doesn’t serve drinks until after noon or 12:30 on Sunday which is disappointing, but likely due to laws versus choice. It’s 45 minutes from my house and I think it’s well worth the drive.

The course was in great shape with many topo changes thru out. A good course to play from any tees.

Course is one of nicest if not nicest course I have played in North Georgia since retiring in Georgia in last year and half. Greens are bent, good speed and in good shape overall as is course.

Enjoyable round on undulating course. Had great time on warm (94) afternoon in Atlanta. Pace was good, tees/fairways good but greens "choppy" and slow. Could have been me but would have liked more pace but with southern heat not realistic. Like no blind shots (had a couple but only because I missed fairway). Had no cart service so got pretty thirsty. Would play again.

Greens recently punched, but acceptable. Course in good shape. Staff very friendly and welcoming. I will be back soon.

Had a great time at Town Lake. Teed off at 8am and pace of play was excellent- 18 in about 4hrs so that was great. Considering the amount of rain we had over last 3 days course was in great shape.

Only thing was the blue tees on 18 were moved back with the gold which made a challenging finishing hole much harder than expected.

All in all Great Round

The course must have good drainage system. Both the fairways and greens were very good shape.

I broke 80 today.

Greens faiyways excellent, sand bunkers maintained hope to play again soon.

This is a hidden gem located in Woodstock. I will be playing this one again!!!!
