Carved from acres of wooded countryside in Woodstock, Towne Lake Hills Golf Club takes advantage of the rolling green hills. The dramatic elevation changes make it difficult to find an even lie anywhere on the course. Arthur Hills, the course's designer, incorporated a variety of challenges that makes each hole unique including a deft smattering of sand bunkers. The golf course depends as heavily on course management and strategy as it does on shot-making skills. It is a challenge to say the least, but it's fair. There are also four sets of tees that make it more approachable. One of the most memorable holes is the fifth. This par 5 presents an interesting risk-reward opportunity that will make you think. Towne Lake Hills G.C. boasts consistently good course conditions and idyllic scenery that make the round even more enjoyable.

Beautiful Layout

Course is one of nicest if not nicest course I have played in North Georgia since retiring in Georgia in last year and half. Greens are bent, good speed and in good shape overall as is course.

Enjoyable round on undulating course. Had great time on warm (94) afternoon in Atlanta. Pace was good, tees/fairways good but greens "choppy" and slow. Could have been me but would have liked more pace but with southern heat not realistic. Like no blind shots (had a couple but only because I missed fairway). Had no cart service so got pretty thirsty. Would play again.

Had a great time at Town Lake. Teed off at 8am and pace of play was excellent- 18 in about 4hrs so that was great. Considering the amount of rain we had over last 3 days course was in great shape.

Only thing was the blue tees on 18 were moved back with the gold which made a challenging finishing hole much harder than expected.

All in all Great Round

After all that rain, the course was better than expected.

The course must have good drainage system. Both the fairways and greens were very good shape.

Great condition

Course is in great condition except some of the tees, but those are being repaired.

Hilly terrain makes the course very challenging, as there are few level lies. #2 will wake you up.....must put the ball in the right spot or a big number is possible.

Staff was very friendly, pace of play was 3-1/2 hours (weekday).

Great Day!

Once again the course was in really great shape with the exception of a couple of tee boxes which were under repair.

We had a 1:06 tee time ( which we were allowed to go out a few minutes early... Thank you!) and never saw a soul until the 13th hole. The pace of play was perfect both in front and behind us.... We couldn't have ask for a better experience at any club!

Tight fairways with blind approaches

Thoroughly enjoyed playing on this course. Was the my first time, so not knowing the layout made it more challenging for approach shots and what to expect. Best to play with someone who knows the course.
