Towne Lake Hills Golf Club

The course has three or four greens that are under repair because the grass on the collars of the greens apparently died from winter kill. Otherwise, the course is in pretty good shape.

Shot my best round ever with a 75 so i cant complain too much. Great greens and pretty good fairways especially compared to the other courses in the area. A little pricey. would play here every time if they could get their price under $40.

Haven't played here in over a year, but it's still a great course. With the rain, the pace was slow. Lots of people trying to squeeze a round in before it came down hard. Regardless, course is in great condition.

Bring your Range Finder...It's all about hitting the ball to the correct position on this golf course. If you are in play you can GO LOW, if you dont control your golf ball you will spend a lot of time looking. Also appears to be a brutal course to walk...very spread out. Great Course for the Value. Perfect weather always helps!

Had a good time, Course was in good shape for the time of year. Green were in great shape. Will play again.

I wish they had said that they had punched the greens recently. Had to have been within days, the greens were 2 putt greens and get out. Our tee time was 8:45 but teed off at 9:10 due to someone overbooking. Finished at 1:50. Staff was friendly and applogetic about the tee time mess up but the greens were really bad. Don't get me wrong, I know they have to punch the greens, but heck at least warn the players or take 10% off the fee or something before booking the time and taking the money.

Somewhat annoying to find a special starter on the first tee telling our foursome that there is a High School tournament 30 min. behind us so we will have to keep our pace of play up. Even more annoying to find out that the greens have been aerited only when we arrived at the first green. The beverage girl arrived on the third hole and then not until the sixteenth.
Now we were a foursome bumping up againsts a twosome so I think a half a dozen reminders to keep the pace of play up was an uneccessary annoyance.
The philosophy and the course needs work.

I enjoyed my round at Towne Lake Hills. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The greens had just been aerated so it was hard to judge them but the rest of the course was in good shape. Challenging but fair.

They have changed to gas carts, which I find terribly disrupting.

If you have a day to waste, play this course. It took our group 5 1/2 hours to play. We asked several Rangers about the pace and they all just smiled and said a lot of people were playing and just enjoying the day...hah! They were no help in managing pace of play. Not a bad track, but we will not play here again anytime soon.

Play was very slow to my standards, 5 hr round(more than 3.5 is long). At times there were 10-15 min wait times on tee box. Only cart path that was used was on #1&18 so that wasn't the issue. Rangers were there on the front nine but didn't help much. Back nine went much faster. Grass is still brown and greens were a little bit bumpy.

I play here often. Great course for the money . The staff is always friendly and helpful . I would recommend this course to anyone . It's always a great time

The day I played was on the week end, and they made sure pace was kept and spaced properly. Roving marshals , and never had to wait on t box and didn't have anybody push from behind. Started kept us long enough to let those in front of us get a good start. All that is hard to manage , they did great.

The course reminds me of lots of courses in North GA. It seems to remind me on Woodmont Golf Club the most (ten plus miles away). The staff and players are friendly. It seems most of the membership hates the phase "Golf Now". I played there because I received a deal. I guess most clubs in North GA hates "Golf Now". Just ask members at Fields Ferry or Smoke Rise Country Club. I love to play golf and love the great deals!

I would recommend this course if you are in the area.

Fairways have extreme slopes and contours; ball position is critical. If playing "cart path only", long, and sometimes very steep walks to get to play next shot. I would expect most seniors would find course too difficult to get around. Not a "fun" course for the average golfer. Several blind shots. You'd have to have played course several times to know where and where not to hit your next shot: assuming you'd want to play the course more then once. I won't be back!

The course is good but I was there playing during the winter time n all the grass are brown except for the putting green. I would love to go there during the spring or summer and play again.

Always a good time . Management and staff work hard to keep up the image Town Lake has earned over the years. The food is real a hidden gem. Go to Town Lake just to eat...you'll love it!

It felt as though the customer service for this course was lacking. The staff almost seemed to look down at us for using GolfNow. The course was beautiful the customer service needs work.

Enjoyed playing this course and plan on playing many more times.

Liking this course more every time I play it. Great value for the money.
