About
Carved from acres of wooded countryside in Woodstock, Towne Lake Hills Golf Club takes advantage of the rolling green hills. The dramatic elevation changes make it difficult to find an even lie anywhere on the course. Arthur Hills, the course's designer, incorporated a variety of challenges that makes each hole unique including a deft smattering of sand bunkers. The golf course depends as heavily on course management and strategy as it does on shot-making skills. It is a challenge to say the least, but it's fair. There are also four sets of tees that make it more approachable. One of the most memorable holes is the fifth. This par 5 presents an interesting risk-reward opportunity that will make you think. Towne Lake Hills G.C. boasts consistently good course conditions and idyllic scenery that make the round even more enjoyable.

Course carved out with rolling hills in a sprawling community.
This course was interesting and challenging and while surrounded by the housing development they never came into play nor at risk. First time on the course and it followed its name with hills on just about every hole. The greens needed attention and the quality was inconsistent hole to hole.
Enjoyed the round and pace of play was good for Saturday
Tee boxes and fairways were good. The greens were in great shape.

Great course spread out through a community. Tree lined fairways and dog legs make club selection and playing within your own limitations a key to enjoying your round. First time out I shot 92 but will count success if I go back and break 90. You will enjoy this course. Check it out.

Great course - Challenging Holes
This is a very nice course. You need to play it a few times, though, to learn all the unseen trouble. Or play with someone who really knows it. A lot of holes have slopes, tall grass near landing areas in fairway, water/ravine hazards that you can't see until it's too late, etc. Doesn't mean it isn't fun to play. Maybe I should get a "book" in the clubhouse... if they have one.
Daily Fee Done Right
Towne Lake Hills is always well maintained and has a friendly staff. Only disappointment is pace of play - slow. If you want to play in under 4.5 hours, tee off early.

Can't say enough good things about this course. It was well marked, well maintained and the beverage cart staff was incredibly friendly. I cannot wait to play this course again in the Fall. There are tons of mature trees and the color change should be beautiful.

The course was in good shape. Greens were rolling at about 10. Fairways and tee boxes in good condition as well.

Nice layout for a development course. Overall in good shape and a good value. Greens soft, but somewhat beat-up with ball marks. Several tough features if you don't know the course and hazards (not well identified).

Pretty good value, course is usually in average to above average condition. Very hilly. I play there once or twice a month.

About the most average course I've come across. Certainly not one to write home about and it's no worth the 50 dollars. I'd suggest coblestone before TLH
Great Course, Great Value
I always enjoy this course. All sorts of hole to play and with it being spread out, you feel like you're the only one on the course.
each hole was distinct.
The rough was unforgiving but if you kept it in play each hole was a challenge. The eighteenth was a real bear! Greens were in good shape, firm, moderately fast, and I liked the subtleness of the breaks.
