About
The Championship 18 Course at Foothills Golf Course is one of three courses at the Foothills facility, but it is the only 18-hole course of the three. Built in 1971, Dick Phelps designed the course. The public course is 6,908 yards at its championship tees. Although the course is relatively flat, there are some hills that cause uneven lies. The course features other difficulties as well. Pretty lakes and creeks create water hazards that come into play on some holes. The greens are bent grass while the fairways are covered in Bermuda grass. There is also a putting green and on-site teaching pro to help golfers with their game.

Great Parks and Rec Course
We live near Lakewood and can't believe we never played this little gem. Great layout with lots of trees but not too narrow. Greens were in great shape and running quick! Looking at a new club house going under construction later this year. We will definitely be back!
Great day of golf
Enjoyed playing the course. Back nine layout could be signed better so you know where to hit for first time players.
Hot, hot, hot
The course was nice, however the foursome in front of our threesome were very slow. they seemed to wait longer than necessary before hitting,
Cart fees ridiculous
So we booked a round at Foothills, first time, to try it out. Were going to walk but, for our first time, thought we'd get a golf cart. So, what's with $20 per rider? Should just be $25/round, not "per rider."
Even worse, no water on the course! It was 96º and no water!! You can't catch COVID from a water source, sorry. The course did not advertise or warn you there was no water so we ended up buying water at $2.00/bottle, spending another $20 on water on top of the $20/rider cart fee.
Probably won't be back to Foothills until my budget can afford it.
after all the rain we have had, the course was great, greens were great.
Foothills good course bad views
My wife and I played the course in early May. If it is just about the golf it is a fine course with some unique, challenging, but fair holes. The carts are new.
My primary issues is really something the course can't do anything about, the perimeter of the course is depressing with views of prisons, nice homes that are poorly landscaped and unattended land. Our pace of play was bad, but that can happen on any given day at most courses. The course condition was seasonably off, but suspect it might already be in good shape.
