Foothills Golf Course - Championship 18 Course
About
The Championship 18 Course at Foothills Golf Course is one of three courses at the Foothills facility, but it is the only 18-hole course of the three. Built in 1971, Dick Phelps designed the course. The public course is 6,908 yards at its championship tees. Although the course is relatively flat, there are some hills that cause uneven lies. The course features other difficulties as well. Pretty lakes and creeks create water hazards that come into play on some holes. The greens are bent grass while the fairways are covered in Bermuda grass. There is also a putting green and on-site teaching pro to help golfers with their game.

Great time, had to play back nine twice with no heads up
Went with 2 of my buddies and once I check in all seemed normal, then I heard from a random guy walking only the back nine was open. Would have been nice to know this before driving 2 hours...
big disconnect
Very disappointed! Arrived at the course to find that the front nine was being over-seeded and was closed to play. Was forced to play the back nine twice. It was up to someone (course/golf now) to let me know so I could have had a choice of play or not!
What we did play was fine and moved in a timely manner.
Labor Day Golf
Very much enjoyed our round at Foothills. The course is definitely being played a lot, judging by the ballmarks on the greens. Staff is very friendly, beautiful views.
Didn’t get to play.
Tee times booked every 8-9 minutes. Showed up three minutes late for tee time. Wouldn’t let me play. Oh well. Their loss of business. Plenty of other courses in the area.
Nice open course
Played this course on a visit to the Denver area. The course was very nice and in good condition. It is open but has some challenges. There was some nice views of the Rocky Mountains with some cool wildlife running around.( geese, coyote, prairie dogs). I would definitely play here again if I come back to this area. The Pro shop staff was nice. The 19th hole was also good.
Nice public course
Nice course, good conditions and pace of play was great for a weekend.
Great condition and friendly staff
Friendly staff and starter and course was in great condition! Pace was a little slow but not terrible.
Fun round with my son
First round in 13 years with my son. He has eye issues, but we had a great day. He had a birdie on one par 5
Quick friendly nine
Showed up a bit late from traffic. They cheerfully bumped my tee time back. Friendliest marshals I’ve met yet in the Denver area. Four stars for conditions only because some of the greens were beat up from ball marks. FIX YOUR OWN MARKS PEOPLE! Great course will play again!
another good visit
Arrived early and they managed to move me to an earlier start. As has nearly always been the case at the Foothills the people I was paired with were enjoyable to be around and golf with. Considering the weather the course was in good shape with a couple fo fairway exceptions. We had no delays and will be back soon.
First time playing here
And I will definitely be back. My nephew and I booked a last minute round through GolfNow App. We enjoyed some drinks on the course, along with the western views.
nice round
well kept and clean. course was in great shape, the greens are tough to read. Flat and pretty mundane layout
slower pace, 4:30.
Overall, average to a little above.
Good First Round
First time I played course. Got on right after a rain shower. No one in front of us. Course in great shape. Greens were fast even with rain. Will play again.
Course is consistently a favorite
The course is now in good shape for the summer and fall. It is always a fun course to play.
Foothills - old classic
Fun course to play, easy to walk. It's in great shape. A traditional course , you need to pay attention to the trees to have a good second shot.
