Listen Up Ladies & Gentlemen
First time playing at Augusta Municipal Golf course was Sunday, April 22nd of 2018 and I had to say that the condition of the course was so bad that it was almost comical. When I say that you are wasting your money even paying 10 dollars for a round, please believe me. Have you ever tried hitting a golf ball off a concrete parking lot? Well get ready becaue the ground is so hard that you can even get under the ball. The greens are incredibly small and have MUD PATCHES that you must put through to get to the hole. I’m telling you all this because I don’t want you to make the same mistake my friends and I did, AVOID AT ALL COST!!!!
Great for the money
If you can find a tee time for cheap it’s worth playing. Tee boxes and greens could use some work but the fairways were in decent shape. Very short so if you like having wedges in (and you’ll need to because the greens are incredibly small) it’s a great course for you. Overall, for $15-$20 it’s a steal
Few.tee boxes need work. Overall great play for the money
Overall good.
Played 18 as usual. Course is in pretty good shape. Tee boxes need some work but overall a great day. Staff friendly as usual.
Continues to improve
A little better every time I go. However Friday the pace was ridiculously slow? Ended up skipping 7,8,9 and 11 because of it but 12 thru 18 were great though.
Fun track
Like the layout. Course not in the best of shape, greens were ok, putted on worse for more money. For the money enjoyed the round. I’ll play it again.
Good value
Not the fanciest course you'll play but the staff is nice and they do a good job or taking care of the course. Tee boxes could use a little work. That's my biggest complaint
slow group ahead
there are at least two groups one two holes ahead of us in a fivesome and are slow. the other group of five maybe also be slow?
narrow fairways, some leaning branches, bald spots in fairways. sometimes the sprinkler system cuts on during play.
For the price
If you catch one of the killer deals available online for around $10-$14 for 18 holes, then I would recommend this course. Anything higher than that and there are numerous other courses in the area in far better condition.
My biggest gripe concerns the tee boxes. In several of them, you could not find a flat area to stand on if you tried. Then the fairways. They were hit and miss. A lot of dirt and tall grass where there shouldn't be.
Overall though, for the price, it's worth a trip, once in a while. I surely wouldn't want it to be my go-to course though.
Great course for the money
Some of the greens are in poor shape, as are a few tee boxes, but for the money I'll continue to play here. Pace of play is great, Especially when I can squeeze 9 holes in, in just over an hour.
Getting better but watch out
The new management is making improvements, the course has tiny greens that were horrible last year but they are being constantly improved.
Watch out about their crazy practice of prohibiting singles before 1 on weekends. They had plenty of carts, the parking lot was empty and the first whole was wide open but they would not make an exception. My tax dollars at work.
Decent course
Fairways and greens could use some work but overall not a bad course
Not bad
Decent course for the money, some of the greens were chewed up, but the fairways were well kept. The tee boxes could use some attention.
