Heritage Oaks Golf Club

I’ve played this course 3 times now and each time it’s completely saturated and wet. It’s hard to get good grip on the tees. Otherwise a really fun course and a good bargain.

I made a couple attempts to play this course but mother nature was being difficult. My first attempt as soon as I got there, a storm cell started popping up, so I grabbed a sandwich and tried to wait it out. The food was quite good, so it wasn’t a total loss. The scenery changes dramatically from when you get off 95 to when you’re nearing the course. It’s beautiful and in a beautiful neighborhood. My second attempt to play this course, I was able to get nine holes in before the tornado watch. The course has a fantastic layout. The fairways are plush, and even though there had been a ton of rain, really wasn’t that soggy but appropriately it was cartpath only. The driving range is not to the standard of the golf course. The staff is in extremely friendly and Bubba took care of me my second attempt. Call for must be accurate off the tea. The fairways aren’t extremely narrow, but tight enough to wear you get punished for errant shots off the box. Of course well at least the front nine had a nice mixture of dog leg lifts dog leg rights. The greens are bent grass and with the amount of rain and the fact that nobody seems to repair their ball marks at any course I had to spend more time than I would’ve liked fixing marks along my putting line. However, the greens are excellent. Every whole is unique. There is a nice make sure of wooded areas and water hazards. The course has plenty undulation and some beautiful features. my only complaint is about the lack of drinking water on the course. Only two holes where a person could fill up a water bottle. The water was warm and tasted terrible. I did not book through GolfNow, and after the fact noticed that I paid much more than the rates on GolfNow. The carts do shut off, and And I was extremely careful because I didn’t feel like pushing it. I love this course and I cannot wait to redeem my rain check And see what the other has to offer.

Recommend all of north Florida travel to Brunswick to play this course. Incredible layout and condition.

I got a Hot Deal for July 5, 2024…. Tee time for ~the heat of the day~ (1216). I was greeted by Ed in the clubhouse and he answered all my questions since it had been around 7 years since I had played any golf. Mr. Joe, the starter, was also very helpful. Both encouraged me to have a good round of golf… and “don’t forget to hydrate”.

The course was in great shape. Grass well cut and greens were near perfect.

The scenery (of course) is great… beautiful oaks and palm trees along with well- kept sand traps. Got to see several species of birds and finally saw a gator on the 18th hole!

I’ve played this course before but it was really wet the first time but this time was amazing! Beautiful course! Didnt hurt that me and my 2 friends both played good!

Greens need to return to life - greens were areated prior week and putting was a crap shoot!

Got there and found out it was cart path only and the range was closed. Green were soft and held well. Unfortunately so did the fairways. 6000 yds or so played much longer. All in all a nice layout. Bunkers, greens and fairways in good shape. Bad timing on our part. Course was empty. We finished in under 4 hours. I would play it again.

Nice course. Too many grounds being repaired. 19th hole was closed by 5:00 pm. Couldn’t find “Fresh water” to drink anywhere. Now I know.
