Sanctuary Golf Club

This is a nice course and will play again. Staff is very helpful

The fairways and greens are in great condition! I’d highly recommend playing here where you’re putting is true and the fairways must have some really good drainage because they are in great shape!

Our first time playing in this course. We met one of the owners of the golf course, who is friendly and loves seeing new golfers like us play on their course. We will definitely be back. The golf shop gives us free golf towels, which is very kind and a welcome gesture as we visit their golf course. The greens are excellent, and the fairway was open, trimmed, and very easy to navigate.

From the moment you pull up, your greeted with sweet southern hospitality. Complimentary towels were given to us before our round started in the pro shop. The moment you stepped up to the first tee box you realize your in golf heaven. Crosscut grass from the fairway through the greens! Wide open fairways with beautiful house spaced out throughout the course, with non of them actually coming into play. The par 3s! Wow just wow! Absolutely amazing! Not one complaint what so ever! This course deserves its 5 star rating plus more! I will definitely be back!

The Reuben sandwich was amazing. So was the grouper sandwich and turkey melt

Awesome course. Greens were pure, tee boxes are in phenomenal condition, every thing was pure. The driving range and chipping greens are nice too The back nine is beautiful along the marshy inter-coastal waters

Course was in excellent shape for this time of year...can't wait to play in the Spring!!! Perfect Tee boxes...BEST I've ever seen! They had recently over seeded but the greens were still in good shape. The entire staff were absolutely amazing...reminded me of playing at my old Country Club! Only wish I had played better!

Our club is hosting a PGA event this upcoming week so the course and facilities were either closed or inaccessible. We put together 2 foursomes and decided to give Sanctuary Cove a try. Some of the guys had played it previously. They said it was nice. Several of us, including me, had never been there before, despite it being less than 30 minutes away. I had not. We had all heard it was in "pretty good shape," so we were excited about trying it out. Across the board, the experience exceeded our expectations. The layout is great. Although they had recently over-seeded, the same is true of many other places. Bottom line, if this is the 9th best semi-private track in the state, I would like to see the others. The whole experience was great. Lakes, rough, fairways, greens, traps --you name it-- it was all on par with a well maintained private club. Frankly, the layout is better than most...

I’ve played The Sanctuary a few times over the years, usually once or twice annually, as it’s about a 45-minute drive from my home in Florida. Every visit has been enjoyable, and yesterday was no exception. My wife and I booked a noon tee time for $86, and it turned out to be a great day. The morning was very cold with hardly anyone on the course, but by noon it had warmed up, though it was still windy. I only saw one other foursome all day. The fairways had just been overseeded for winter and were starting to germinate, so it was cart paths only, which didn’t bother me. I’ve played here after the overseed takes hold, and the conditions are fantastic. Yesterday they were still very good, with just a hint of the bright green that will appear in a couple of weeks. The greens were smooth and quite fast. This Fred Couples design is set in a country club community, with friendly, helpful staff. The free range balls and water were a nice touch, and the warm-up areas are exactly what you’d expect from a premium course.

A year ago, I even considered moving to this community, but one drawback held me back—the faint roar of I-95 that you can hear on the front nine, less so on the back, likely depending on wind direction. Even so, I still really enjoy the course, and it’s well worth a visit.

I plan to return soon.

Many traveling golfers heading to coastal Georgia are going to Jekyll Island or St. Simons Island and drive right by the Sanctuary. That's a mistake. This is a really nice golf experience, especially if you stay in the golf cottages on property like I did. They're great two-bedroom homes just a short walk from the clubhouse. The practice putting and chipping green are right outside the screened-in porch, so you can tune up your game until the sun goes down. Guests also get access to the indoor golf simulator in the adjacent building. The course itself feels like a cart ride through nature with only a few moments where homes intrude on the solitude. It climaxes with several dramatic holes set (nos. 13-16) within the marshes.

Played a great golf course and spent some time with Golf Professional on the SAN Putt Lab system in their training center. Everything about place is top notch!!!

For as nice as a course as this is the staff is even nicer. Drove in from Jacksonville and had blast will definetly be back.

This course was super pure, true greens and crisp fairways all around great track. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Won’t lie if there is wind out there this is a mean course, lots of intercostal influence.
