Heritage Oaks Golf Club

Haven't played this course in a long time...I had heard they had made some dramatic course renovations....folks taking care of the course who had training at Ocean Forest and Sea Island....what a great job they have done...well worth every penny.

It had been several years since I had played this course. The course is in great shape with the greens in near perfect condition. Many improvements have been made to this beautiful sprawling golf course. It's first rate, highly recommend.

New superintendent is making needed changes but course has a little ways to go before I will recommend it.

Course is in excellent condition. Travis & the other grounds crew continue to make a positive difference. Club house staff are friendly. Pre-payed a 1 pm GN special & almost felt guilty for taking advantage of probably the nicest public course in the Golden Isles. We could see other players occasionally, but pace was quick & unobstructed. GPS on carts make club selection easy. Continuing improvements have taken "grassy hazards" away; which a very welcome thing for almost all players. We'll be back soon!

We have been playing this course since it opened. We travel to St. Simon Island every year around Easter. They have made several changes to the course since last year that have improved the course tremendously. They are offering a March/April special - 2 golfers with cart for $40. Can't beat that. Hole #11 under construction so they were using the Island green 19th hole. We played as a 2some at 8:15 and finished in 3 hours. Great Day.

This course is much improved. The owner has spent a lot of effort to really make this a fun course to play. If you have not been here lately you need to play it again. The conditions are great and the greens are the best ever!

We enjoyed playing the course. It was in good condition and a great value for your money. It had a nice layout with bunkers and a few forced carries. I would play it again. The staff was very accommodating .

Will definitely return, lots of course work has greatly improved the course. Cart paths need work especially on back nine. Greens in nice condition but a little slow this day. Fairways filling in nicely after rough winter.

Challenging course that rewards good shot and penalizes bad ones. Many memorable holes. Friendly staff and quick pace of play. Best if played during a dry period. Green speeds could be quicker.

Course was in great shape. Front nine has some improvements been done. Did not use dining facilities so can not comment. Good value.

Heritage Oak (formerly Oak Grove) is a very pleasant course that has undergone a lot of upgrades over the 10+ years we've played it. It features a fair amount of water and other areas surrounded by marsh grasses, so an errant shot is likely to result in a lost ball and added strokes. The day we played it, the weather was superb making it a very pleasant experience.

Very enjoyable but would be more enjoyable the second time. Course knowledge matters here. Excellent greens, good fairways, bunkers and rough. It was obvious that the greenkeeping staff were working hard at their jobs.

Heritage Oaks doesn't disappoint for a nice day of golf particularly for the price. Its a great value for a really nice and challenging course. Will be back as alwaysm Thanks.

Ths course is 30 min from Saint Simons Island. The staff is friendly and the course is in excellent condition. Lots of sand and water and the greens are somewhat tricky. The carts even have GPS built it. We paid $40 for 2 with a cart. Call the pro shop directly to get this rate. Excellent value, especially for the area. Will definitely play again.

It was nice they had the striped 150 yard pole on each fairway to give a better perspective from the tee

Considering the weather, this course is in relatively good condition. Greens are fast and hard typical in winter.

Fairways and greens were pretty good. Some very good holes. Very much a target type of course.

I was disappointed in the fact that the pro shop rate for two players was $18.00 cheaper than GolfNow"s
Hot Deal. I paid $4.98 booking fee to GolfNow plus $53.00 at the coarse. The rate at the pro shop was $20.00 or a total of $40.00 for two players.

Had to add that I've played courses from recently South Korea, The phillipine, Myrtle Beach and Hawaii. This course is up there with the best of them as far as scenery. Deffinately reccommend.

This course was Beautiful!! Had a delay due to frost. My Tee Time was 0740 didn't get out til closer to 9am, but that gave the temperature time to rise. The staff was great and the course again is gorgeous. If you're a high hadicapper like myself bring LOTS of balls because if you don't hit the fairway youre likely not to find your ball on even a slight miss. I played this course after pulling an ALL nighter at work and then driving from an hour away. My swing was off so badly that I stopped at 9 (the ccourse didn't deserve the way I was playing#. I did take lots of pictures as there are many postcard views on this course. Will reccommend to anyon and will deffinately play again. #After Pleany of rest)
