Wet but playable

Not a course that can take 10 in of. rain well. And its a good course layout that plays far more difficult when eet. I have a on going issuse when courses dont tell u the conditions before booking and until your there that its cart path only. Needs a policy change. Good ood course, but dont be afraid of giving out conditions.

Beware of cart path only and rainy days….

We made the mistake of trying to play here after heavy rains. The course was open, it was cart path only but it really was borderline unplayable. I realize courses need to make money but the poor shape of the course should have been communicated to us!

The amount of casual/standing water was the most I’ve ever seen on a golf course. Trying to walk out to any ball in the fairway was an adventure as you squished and HOPED your shoe didn’t go under the water!

There was not much roll and most definitely we barely could bounce anything off the front onto greens.

I believe this course would be nice if it was dry. Therefore, I could recommend it but strongly suggest you never take a chance playing this after lots of rain and cart path only. This was NOT a fun day of golf.

Also, signage to find #10 was non existent and getting to #11 thankfully we guessed right:

Course conditions were fine on the front nine, but dry on the back - no 17 was under repair but no advance notice that one hole was closed. Not my favorite course.

Nice course

Golf now had the round at $65. I got to the clubhouse paid. It was 97. And whole 17 was closed. So I paid $30 more than what the golf now app had it at, and only got 17 holes out of it!

The course itself is beautiful. Well maintained. The grains were great. I played by myself, first time here. Really enjoyed the 17 holes I got to play.

A hidden gem

My wife and I played a round at Heritage Oaks on Easter Sunday afternoon. The course is located on Oak Grove Island which is a beautiful community. The staff at Heritage were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The course was in great condition with true, well manicured greens and challenging layout requiring accurate shots to avoid all the water. The range and practice greens were top notch as well. When we return next spring, this course will be tops on the list to play.
