Great course new greens are excellent. Would recommend to anyone.

This course appears to be wide open with not a lot of trees but it has it's fair share of hidden challenges. It's very hilly, some that's very small but you should play an extra club on several holes starting with the first one. The greens are in good shape and roll good. It's a fun course and the people are friendly. It's a good place to play and the cost is affordable.

Fields Ferry always has friendly staff. The new greens are better. I have always enjoyed playing there.

I have played this course several times over the years but had not played it since they upgraded their greens to Bermuda. It has always been pretty well maintained. The staff has always been cordial. It seems like some courses have the same hole eighteen different times, not this one. My favorite aspect of Fields Ferry is that each hole seems distinct from the other. Number one is a little simple but that's what makes it a good starting hole. Most of the holes seem to offer a good risk/reward option. I highly recommend playing this course. Everything was still dormant when I played this time but I have played the course when it was green and I have to say my rating of course conditions would be almost pristine.

Would definitely go back. Good folks and great fun at a quality course.

The new conditions on this course have made it one of my local favorites. Wide open course which allows you to play good scramble golf. Risk reward dog legs that allow you birdie opportunities no matter your level of play.

I really like this course. Have played it several times over the past few months. Really beautiful course when the grass turns green again.

Played this course right after the new greens were opened in early August. They weren't quite ready. 7 weeks later they looked really nice! Light player load during the early summer while they were on temp greens has left the fairways in really good shape, too. One or two of the numerous sand traps could use softening, but otherwise the course was in above average shape for a public course. Nice to see the turnaround at this very scenic course.

Fields Ferry had always been a diamond in the rough. Then something happened. The fairways needed attention, the tee boxes were struggling and most of all the greens needed rebuilding.

The last couple of times playing the course since the new Championship Bermuda greens were installed, Fields Ferry is starting to get their act together. Keep over watering the greens, the more water they get, the better they will continue to fill in. They were looking really good yesterday!

Cons:
If the greens aren't being cut (esp since we're coming into our colder season) every day, they should be rolled every day. In warmer weather, I would like to see them cut and rolled every day.

Fields Ferry is becoming that great little golf course off the beaten path again! Can't wait to come back.

Eric and the staff are great. The course recently converted to Bermuda greens so be a little patient until they can cut them a bit shorter.
Overall, the course is in great shape. But at 6800 yards, this is definitely a course to "play it forward".

Newly installed greens have taken hold are are rolling quite well. The back tees are plenty doable, yielding more than enough challenge for the round. Fairway bunkers make accuracy from the tee box a must. Nice views make this N. GA gem a tranquil experience, regardless of how I'm playing.

Fields Ferry is a great layout. The course is in great shape at this time. The new greens are much improved over the old ones.
The staff at Fields Ferry are the best that you find at any course. They are friendly and very helpful!

I always enjoy playing here with the wide fairways and large greens. Well placed bunkers and elevation changes provide challenges for better players from the back tees. The greens have recently been completely redone and they putted great! Staff is always friendly.
Practice facilities are a little lacking and putting green is small. This doesnt bother me but don't go here looking for a large practice area.
I'm planning an outing with multiple tee times for next month and we will be playing here.

We've been playing Field's Ferry for years. Love the layout and at the price it's worth the drive to Calhoun. They recently rebuilt all the greens and the new bermuda is in great shape. A wonderful improvement. Love the secluded setting. I would definitely recommend Fields Ferry. Save your mulligan for #16 because you're going to need it!
