Well worth the time and money.
Nice day after a week of solid rain. Property is well maintained. You. Cannot go wrong with spending a few hours on this property.
Good Course
Beginner/novice friendly course. Most fairways are wide open, but be prepared for heavy rough. No water to speak of on the course. Bunkers, greens, and tees well maintained.
What trees there are serve to hide/protect greens versus being somewhere to lose a ball.
I wish this course were closer to home, short drive from Helen while on vacation.
Early in the year. some grass and greens still recovering from a punch--a good time was had by all!
played after 3 days of rain. cart path only. All that rain had little effect on the playability of the course. The greens still show signs of aeration. Maybe another week for greens to roll smooth.
Great Value
Our first time to play the course. We played on a very windy day, but enjoyed the course. For early in the year the course was getting in better condition, fairways greening up. Tough pin placement on some rolling greens. We are going back for another shot at this fun course!
Apple Mtn
Always enjoy playing here, had just aerated the greens, still putted ok, and I had fun. Will be back soon!
Brown 'n Breezy
Winter golf means brown Bermuda fairways. The day was a bit chilly and breezy but course conditions pretty good overall. Not very crowded. Course winterized -- no ball washers and course rest room(s) locked. Gas powered carts a bit sluggish due to cool conditions.
Fun course
I've played here close to a dozen times, and it gets better every time...not a lot of hazards to deal with, but the greens are subtle, which is an equalizer. Money is being invested into the course, so I am really looking forward to the future...!!
Bring Extra Balls
Played on a beautiful Sunday afternoon - course was in great shape and there was no one on the course! My advice, stay on the fairways. The thick first rough is very, well thick and locating your ball can be a challenge - even when you know where it is. Spent a fair amount of time searching (which tells you all you need to know about my game) for balls, even just off the fairways. Besides that, the course was a joy to play. Fairways were well maintained and the greens were slow. The staff was very pleasant and it was a relaxing afternoon without being pushed through my round with crowds behind or waiting for pile ups in front.
