Harbor Club on Lake Oconee

Nice course, I expected it to be more of a resort course but it's lined with houses the entire way. Conditions were good considering it was the beginning of March. The third hole was being reconstructed so I was allowed to loop back and play #1 a second time. I suspect that and the time of year accounted for the cheaper rate.

Course should have advised that greens were recently punched & had sand on them.

The course was a little wet, so cart path only. Could have done 90 degree Hole 3 & 15 were under. Construction so had to skip, & all greens were top dressed w/sand so hard to putt. The Course did not state this when booked played many times with golf now & always was notified before booking if issues or courses conditions. Disappointed would not have played, other choices in area.

The course greens were Aerated when I played it the 2nd time in a few years. The best time to play the course is late spring, summer and early fall....as the conditions are better suited. Today they have 1 hole closed due to construction but all in all a good track.

Outstanding course in great shape. First time to play the course. Needed to know some strategies on several holes, so next time will be more enjoyable.

The fairway and greens were awesome. The greens weren’t real fast and that allowed for pure putting..

Starter came around when we were Teeing off but No where to be found when the 4some before us were playing at a Tortoise pace. So on the back nine we skipped a hole

Our round approached 5.5 hours in wicked heat, longest we've ever experienced, as foursomes were backed up from the very first tee. By the time we finished there were five foursomes on one hole. Apparently the logjam started with a morning tournament. That shouldn't bear consequences for afternoon players paying a handsome fee. Won't be back.

Course was in great shape and staff helpful and friendly. Our only complaint was the horrendous pace of play. From the 3rd hold onwards, EVERY tee box had 3 groups waiting. This never got better. We would finish a hole, drive to next tee, one group would be on tee box waiting to hit, the group in front of us still in carts, and then us. 3 groups. Every time. At one hole I counted 5 groups on the same hole. And that was before two 3somes became a 6some later in the round. Apparently they had a tournament in the morning and still booked a full course. Won't play again until this is resolved.

It seems that the club had a tournament in the morning and still sold tee times for the afternoon, the round took over 6 hours! It was quite frustrating specially since this is not a low cost course.

This course is an amazing golf course with some of the friendliest staff ever. Thank you for such an enjoyable round of golf!
