Creekside
The greens are in great shape and roll very nice. The only issue for me was the lack of grass on a couple of tees..... i have played this course many times over the last 20 years and love the layout. It fits great for my righty draw.
Challenging
This is not a long course but it does make you think about shot and club selection, especially on the front nine. The course conditions have improved since the last time I played. The manager greeted us on the 1st tee and even met up with us during the round to ask how we were doing and if we were happy with the course. He apologized for the pace of play being slow. The staff in the clubhouse is extremely friendly too.
This course is very challenging.
This course is somewhat tight and is very challenging. The greens were in great condition.
The Creekside
Greens were absolutely rolling great very challenging. Loved playing this course.
Average Course - Recommended Play
I tried Creekside due to a great deal on golf now. It is a nice course in good condition. You can tell they have been working on improving it lately. The new owner/manager was really nice. It does have a few odd holes and there were a green or two in bad shape, but other than that it was an enjoyable morning. I would recommend giving them a shot. I gave it a 4 star. Beware it gets a bit tight on the front side.
Too Many obstructions
Overall the course is okay but they have failed to clean up the greens and fairways of leaves. It is fall and I get it's a natural and expected this time of year but if your are not going to clean up the course then your price should reflect the adverse conditions
Great value for the money
Greens and Fairways were in good shape, greens rolled true. Fall may not be the best time of year if you are wayward with your shots, which I was, lots of oak trees dropping large leaves, even if you know where to look finding your ball in 3-4" of loose leaves is tough. Melissa was terrific, she waited for us and except for hot chocolate, we went out in cool temps, she had everything we needed. Some tee boxes were in desperate need of grass, most were good.
Keeps improving
Lost a ball in the leaves, but for the most part the fairways were clear and in good shape. Greens have improved tremendously. Recommend playing early because the greens are blown early and later in the day will accumulate leaves at this time of year. Stay in the fairways too. Had a great time! The staff was great and the folks I paired with were fun.
Good price
Great course but the day we played someone forgot to blow the greens ( leaves and pine straw) wont be back for awhile.
Great day, tough course
Note to mid-high handicappers: leave the driver in the car, then pick it up at the turn. This is a challenging, but fair, test of golf in the South - hills, tight fairways (loosens up a bit on the back), mildly undulating greens, and several holes with shots over waste areas. Stray far from the fairway and your ball is lost on most holes. Walkers should avoid the front 9 - several lengthy drives between holes. Island green on 18 is large but you'll probably get wet regardless. Course, especially greens, in better condition than recent years. Friendly staff and low drink/food prices, make up for a tired-looking but tidy clubhouse.
Very Nice Staff and fun course
We really enjoyed our family time together playing golf.
Enjoyed the course played from the white tees thought the fairways were in good shape the greens
rolled the ball great to the hole will be playing this course again.
Great course
I've played this course a few times over the last ten years and it's in the best shape ever. The greens are excellent and the course is in great shape. It's a challenging course but I always like to play here.
