Golfer Reviews
Good price
Great course but the day we played someone forgot to blow the greens ( leaves and pine straw) wont be back for awhile.
Great day, tough course
Note to mid-high handicappers: leave the driver in the car, then pick it up at the turn. This is a challenging, but fair, test of golf in the South - hills, tight fairways (loosens up a bit on the back), mildly undulating greens, and several holes with shots over waste areas. Stray far from the fairway and your ball is lost on most holes. Walkers should avoid the front 9 - several lengthy drives between holes. Island green on 18 is large but you'll probably get wet regardless. Course, especially greens, in better condition than recent years. Friendly staff and low drink/food prices, make up for a tired-looking but tidy clubhouse.
Enjoyed the course played from the white tees thought the fairways were in good shape the greens
rolled the ball great to the hole will be playing this course again.
Great course
I've played this course a few times over the last ten years and it's in the best shape ever. The greens are excellent and the course is in great shape. It's a challenging course but I always like to play here.
A really nice course!
Our round at the Creekside course was most enjoyable. The course was in excellent shape despite a heavy rain the night before. The tees and fairways were well groomed. We felt the greens were a bit "hairy" and a little slow but we learned from the course pro that they were recently aerated/top-dressed. Planning on playing Creekside again!
A few weeks ago they had to redress the greens and thry were and rhey were so bad I was concerned that i may not ever want to play there again.... but they did an extraodinary job on them. Judos to the grounds crew !!!
Course condition
Should have been stated that only 9 holes were open.
Had to play the back 9 twice. The only good part of the day was getting to play 18 twice.
Greens were sanded so heavy that speed was about 5.
Always Fun
This is my 4-5 time playing here and I'm never disappointed. The greens weren't in great shape at the moment due to maintenance but should be back in a week or so. Love the layout and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. Best course around here for the $$$
Decent cheap course, but slow play and weird layouts.
Don't go if you in a hurry. I've played here several times and there's no such thing as a 4 hour round. They do have rangers driving around, but I don't think they really do anything except for writing down cart numbers. If you aren't going to try to speed up play why bother?
The course is in decent shapes, but there are a few holes that are just weird (hit 6 iron off tee then 3 wood second shot).
Overall, if you are wanting a cheap place to play, it's not too bad. Greens and fairways were good.
Course in great shape
I have played Creekside multiple times and this was the best shape that i have seen Creekside in for a long time. Given the edges of the greens needed a little work, but this did not effect play. The greens and fairways were in very good shape.
Lengthy greens to tees. Spotty greens. Not on fairways then too often you have a lost ball.
I wanted to thank you for taking the time to review the course. We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your time at Creekside on the 12th. Our maintenance schedule was a little thrown off the past 2 months due to the hurricane and a few other reasons. We apologize that you didn't have the best time but we did try to let every one know what we were doing as well as we did reduce rates for that day. We would love for you to give us another chance. My name is Stephen Ruffing and I am the General Manager at Creekside. Feel free to reach out to me and I can talk to you a little more and hopefully earn back your trust in us.
