Golfer Reviews
Coming back to form, plenty of improvements, fairways nice more plush, chipping area around greens also nice, and getting better
Tough to navigate between holes
Good test of skills. Some blind shots. Course was in good condition. The real issue with this course is the navigation from one hole to the next. There's no marking to tell you where the next hole is, and you can't just follow the cart path. Between some holes you drive your cart down the street for a block and turn into an unidentified path. Had I not been playing with folks that knew the course, I doubt if I would have found my way around. The course really needs to publish a map and mark the transition to the next hole.
nice course
Nice course and amenities if only you can play and not be rushed. Not an issue when you catch up to others taking their time...Never had that happen to me at any course, as some holes go faster than others and the timing works out in the end. Enjoyed the course itself better than on previous visits, but chill out a bit marshalls.
Nice Surprise.
I was quite surprised with this course. The clubhouse was very nice. The driving range and putting green were in a good location. The layout of the course was the big surprise. Visually very pretty. Challenging to play. You will do a lot of driving. The distance between holes is somet
imes long but you are traveling over creeks and in the trees. Pretty. The course is in good shape. Greens need some work but they are coming back. The only negative was the pace of play. UGH. They could use a Marshall on course. We played on a Sunday. We expected it to be slow but there were other reasons why the pace was a crawl and they could be fixed.
Nice course
Enjoyed playing this course and it was not too difficult. Fairways are narrow at times and this makes you think about club selection . Refreshment wagon came around several times but did not see a marshal at all. Pace of play was really slow during the front 9, started slow on the back 9 but got better. Fairways were mostly good except some spots and the greens really did need some work. Overall I enjoyed the round and look forward to playing this course again.
Good Deal!
Nice course. Length is deceiving with its tricky layout. Water comes into play on several holes. Many doglegs and tight fairways required thoughtful shots. Greens were still recovering from aeration, but overall, I really enjoyed the course. Especially for the price on a Saturday.
Accurate Reviews
After playing this course, definitely agree with many of the other reviews. The front nine is pretty tight, but it opens up a bit on the back. The island finish on 18 is a great end. Greens were in so-so shape.
Pace of play was as expected for a course with a ~$30 round, but the distance between holes is as advertised, so if there were people without carts, I could see how there could be a big backup
Great little course for a very reasonable price.
Got this on a hot deal and had never played it so wanted to give it a try. The course is very much a tale of 2 nines. The front is pretty night and requires lots of accurate shots and the back is more open and long. Course was a little soggy from a lot of rain but otherwise in good shape. I would highly recommend this course for the price. This course also has a few really scenic holes on the back nine ...especially 18 which has an island green
Nice Course
Nice course and staff is excellent, but I was supprised the greens had been aerated which caused putting to be a waste of time. I did not see the usual warning when I was on the website. I may of just missed it.
Great course for the price
I absolutely love this course. It's a wonderful course for a beginner to learn on or an experienced player to practice on. The new owner is making immense progress in the way of course maintenance and value. The greens are still a work in progress, but I have great expectations for next season. All of the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The clubhouse has a modest pro-shop, a decent bar, and some amazing food. Overall, the total experience and value makes this my favorite course.
Creekside
A good course that is maintained fairly well. Good value if you get a deal price. The 18th with the island green is a great finishing hole.
Looking for a challenge
I've played this course about 15 times. I've been golfing about 4 years now and have played around 20 different courses. Creekside is one that is most fun to play because of the layout. They recently cut back some trees and bush to open the course up some. But it's still a good tuff course. You got to hit em straight. If the golfer would not tear down signs and fix ball mark on green and the staff put a little more TLC on the course. It could be a excellent place to play. Still it a good deal for around $40.
Much Improved
This course underwent major improvements over the past year. It is much better than it was then... true greens, good fairways and somewhat tough rough. The staff is very friendly and very attentive to their customers and to the course.
Fun course to play
First time seeing this course, staff were very nice and accomidating. The layout is very challenging I am not super long off the tee but was still able to compete with the young guns I was paired with. Greens were very nice and very receptive. I would recommend this course to anyone at any level, I will be back.
This course has really great features.
I loved the 14th and 18th hole. The entire course was really well maintained.
Good value
This golf course would be difficult for the beginner or casual golfer. The area outside of the tree line is "never-never land" in that you will never find your ball. Consequently the course plays very tight. There are several holes that local knowledge comes into play since there are some blind tee and approach shots. The 14th and 17th holes play very (too) long....468 and 435 respectively. On 14 the hazard (lake) fronting the green makes this hole a very challenging par 4. The 17th par 4 hole is uphill and plays much longer than the 435 yards listed on the card (maybe because of wet conditions). The greens were fairly good with very little undulation but could be improved with increase speed and fixing a couple of bare spots which is normal for bent greens in the south. Fairways were good enough to play the ball down. There were a couple tee areas that needed sunlight and air as grass was sparse. The car paths and area around the path were in need of repair throughout the course. The staff was great. The take home... a very challenging round on a fair course. I will play it again.
