Have played this course in the past. Has gone some what downhill. The greens are in great shape as well as the bunkers. The fairways not so much. Still though is a good course to play for the cost.
Creekside is coming back
Would have given it a 4 start review but the fairways and tee boxes really need some work and the cart’s definitely could use an upgrade but the plus side is that the greens were actually in pretty good shape. Once they get the fairways back I’ll be making a regular trip to Creekside!
This course is a has been
What used to be a gem, this course has fallen far from its glory days. I’m not sure if it’s the new owners or the course is on tight budget but course conditions have been getting worse for years and I played today. Unfortunately this will be my last. It’s a tight fun course, I’d called it target golf. But when the fairway are hard as a rock and most of them feed to the woods even a perfectly place shot gets a ridiculous bounce. You’ll find no grass on the tees and they are loosing the greens. Bunkers or gravel pits.
Course conditions are better every time I play here. Challenging for a high handicap like myself, but still a few holes that I can score on.
No Warning
The front 9 was closed due to the greens being Aerated. And the course was charging less when I got there than what I pre-paid online thru Golf Now.
Slow beyond slow! Stopped after hole 12
We couldn’t take it anymore. We stopped after 3 hours and 20 min and only through 12. Long waits on every hole.
Some progress made
Most of the greens are in far better shape then they’ve been in the past. New signs at each hole with yardage and layout are nice. Carts are probably close to their last rounds. The worst part of the round was spending 6hrs to get through it. Having to wait 10 - 15 mins at each hole makes for a long, irritating day at the course. A Marshall was out and stated “there’s no where to speed people up”. However, when you get to hole 15 & find hole 17 completely clear and a foursome not in any hurry to make their way to the 16th green, you know this isn’t accurate. Course improvements alone will not guarantee anyone will put up with that frustration.
Challenging Course and Budget Friendly. One Complaint.
My only complaint about this course is the GOLF CARTS. I've played here several times and the carts are in bad shape. First time playing the parking break didn't work. Second time playing the transmission was slipping up hills. Finally the third time playing this year, the whole center piece fell out of the steering wheel! Outside of the cart struggles, it's a fun course and not too expensive to play.
Great Greens - Fair holes - not for walkers
Played when course was still soaked after rains. Greens top notch. Fairways winter thin. Teeboxes need work Feb 2023.
Layout is a good mix of challenging and easier holes. A few target golf tee shots required from white.
Walking would be tough. Several holes 200-400 yards from green to tee box. I regretted my attempt at walking.
Staff is friendly. Grill Bar after was a nice way to end the day.
