Average course
Wide open with few out of bounds, fix your ball marks people...sprinklers were turned on several times on greens while I was putting....so much green watering that it was basically mudd around the greens
Nice tract, work on the greens though
Course greens need some work. Fairways and bunkers look okay. Perhaps they need to teach folk how to prepare ball marks. Clubhouse needs a major renovation. No place to change for business person to get in a round after work.
Course is okay
Greens need a lot of work and the cart paths severely need to be repaired or redone completely.
I've always enjoyed this golf course. I like the layout...lots of water
The greens were really beat up; I don't think the players know how to fix ball mark. That's so disappointing; shame on my fellow golfers. Tee to green the course is in very good shape
Love Cotton Fields!
We've golfed here numerous times and always have a great time. Greens need a little bit of work but they maintain the fairways nicely. Staff is always nice and courteous as well.
Highly recommend!
A great layout with a few challenges.
Every hole has its own personality and some have a special challenge. There was one group of 5, which is usually a problem, but they played fairly quickly and let us through after we waited only a couple of holes.
The greens need attention. Ball marks not repaired is biggest issue
Overall the course layout is good. Signage as far as directing you to the next hole could be improved. Cart paths in need of attention. Give every golfer a divot repair tool and maybe they would use, Otherwise the course needs to hire someone to repair divots on green
Good
Due to the weather conditions lately they were as good as to be expected. I do play there often and have to receive rain checks due to over booking on the tee times, which i am never to happy about! But I will continue to frequent due to convenience.
Good Course
The bunkers need to be raked and the divots filled, but other than that a great course for golfers of all kinds.
Cart Path needs serious attention!
Overall I enjoyed my round the fairways were pristine and the rough provided the right amount of difficulty. My only real complaints were the cart paths (which are horrible) and the signs directing you to the next hole in play were note marked properly. Overall I would recommend the course if you're in the area and want to get a quick round in, but if you don't live in the area or you're trying to impress some guests from out of town I'd take a pass until they square away the paths.
Course is aerated and sanded
I live nearby and play this course regularly and it is usually a nice course to play for the money. However as of 7/24/13 the greens are aerated and sanded and there was no notice of this on golfnow.com. Do BEWARE of this if making a reservation in the next couple of weeks. I know there is a way for the course to indicate this with the icons on the golfnow website, unfortunately they have not done this
Great mix of water, trees and open terrain.
Cottonfields is first and foremost a great piece of real estate and could be a great course if not for greens plagued by bald spots and bunkers requiring some attention. The course layout is enjoyably dynamic, and the course itself is scenic and very nice overall. If Cottonfields could fix their balding greens, emphasize the importance of players fixing green divots and pour a little sand in their bunkers.......they could be a great course offering great prices. Either way, its a course worth playing, especially if you like water and trees to challenge your game. The bunkers are fairly deep by southern standards, which one could argue is almost a throwback to golf's links beginnings......
Lushious fairways and true greens
The fairways and greens were in great shape. The out of bounds didn't kill you like some courses. the staff was real friendly and the speed of play went well.
Cottonfields
It would really be nice if the patrons of the course would fix their ball marks on the greens. I think the management needs to issue ball mark tools. And like nearly all the courses in the area, it would be nice to have ball washers on all tees, that are maintained.
Nice course
Really good course fairways are good, greens roll true. If this course had good sand in the bunkers fixed a couple dead spots on the green and had a mobile cart girl it'd be worth 65 dollars to play
short but sweet
The cotton fields is a short course but yet keeps your attention. The greens are some of the best in the area. For 35.00 its a graet deal. But $5.00 for a burger and $7.00 for a burger meal ( chips and drink) a bit much,,,,,
Has a lot of water that comes into play.
I have played Cotton Fields many times, and enjoy the course layout. Greens and tee boxes are close together, so not a lot time is wasted getting to the next hole. There are a couple of exceptions, but not enough to slow down your pace of play. The only caveat I have experienced, is that walking is not really allowed for the most part. As a golfer that likes to walk, that is the reason for me making the previous statement.
Course is one of the best maintained that I've played in the Atlanta area
First time I played this course. Beautiful layout, water hazards make it challenging for experienced players, but still open enough for a beginner to get some good shots in. Maintenance crews busy all day, sometimes slowed you down, but the result was extremely clean shots from the fairways. Will be coming back to this one soon.
