Great course
Great shape
Greens were great
Tee boxes look good
Golf carts were strong
Wish I lived close
Thanks
Great afternnon
For a municipal course, this is one of the best kept secrets in GA. Challenging layout, friendly staff and really good conditions.
Busy Monday at Bull Creek Golf Course
I played the West a few months ago and it was busy. Today I‘ve played the East and it was busy, too. I had two threesomes of walkers in front of me and they didn‘t let players behind play through. That was tough. Course lay out and conditions for spring were great. Some sand traps need some maintenance and maybe new sand, but overall the course is worthwhile playing it. I‘ll come back for sure when in the area.
Course conditions don't make up for the rude staff
The title says it all. The course was in fairly good condition considering that it is overplayed and holds water like a sponge, but the rudeness of the staff sent that right out the window. When I arrived at the pro shop I was studiously ignored until the clerk finished his conversation on a cell phone, then was told that I had to pay an additional fee for being a single. I informed the clerk and an very rude marshal that I had payed through TeeOff and was not going to pay again. They continued until I said that I would go home and apply for a refund, then I was allowed to play. If Bull Creek doesn't allow Singles, it needs to be posted in advance. NOT on the spur of the moment and I didn't appreciate them trying to fleece me for another fee just because I didn't have a playing partner.
The course was great, the staff not so much
While the course conditions were good, it didn't make up for the unfriendly and rude treatment by the staff. When I entered the pro shop there were two people behind the counter and I was studiously ignored until one finished with the conversation on his cell phone. I was then informed that I hadn't booked today, but tomorrow. (This was either inaccurate or untrue. My receipt email had the correct date.) Then I was told that I could play, but since I was a single that I would have to pay an extra cart rental. I informed them that I had payed through GolfNow and that was all I was going to pay. After that I was allowed to play, but was hustled off to the back nine. My advice to Bull Creek is if Singles are unwelcome or if they are going to try to fleece additional fees from Singles that they advertise it up front and not blind side customers after they have already payed.
Great track!
Conditions: Rainy conditions the day before called for a round of Cart Path Only, the day of was beautiful and 80 degrees.
Driving Range: Accessible and yardages were accurate, $8 per large bucket
Layout: Mostly straightforward golf course with wide fairways, however, the tree line is very dense and does not allow for much forward advancement if you find yourself off target.
Greens: Smooth-rolling, not too difficult to read, and held well.
Loved the course
Had a great time playing. The pace was a little slow but it was a beautiful course.
not quite worth the money
The course is about 70 percent cart path only year round. The course is ok but heavily played because of being one of only a few courses in the city. The majority of players are retirees and pace of play is SLOW. There are a lot of courses that are a little bit nicer for a little less than 41 dollars. Play one of them.
