Pass on this Course
This course is not in good condition, many tees are set on the fairways, the fairways are muddy and thinning out and the greens are patchy and burned. There's no sand in the traps. This golf course is on the base and it's impossible to locate the right gate to get in, the GPS mapping does not work for this area.
Had a great time
The greens were in great shape. The fairways had some rough spots, but overall it looked well maintained. The bunkers didn't look great but it had rained the night before. Overall though, it really did look pretty darn good. Especially for a public course that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Close to downtown Savannah and a fun, friendly course without breaking the budget. Absolutely loved it.
Enjoyable round of 18!!!
This course forces you to place your shots with hazards and small high greens! Friendly par 3's and challenging par 5's.
Our favorite course
This is our favorite course because of the friendly workers, the above average conditon of the course, and the challenges of some narrow fairways, elevated and smaller greens, and several tidal water hazzards. The greens fees are modest and helps support a federal military facility.

Hunter GC...We will return!
Great course and well maintained. Could use more hazards to make the course more challenging, but worth the money. Couldn't ask for a more beautiful day playing with my Dad and Uncle. One last point, you need to bring your lunch as your choices are crackers, candy bars, soft drinks, or beer.
A Good Test
Not overly crowded. Good variety of holes with lots of elevated greens. Green speed on slow side. They read pretty true. Penalized for not hitting drives straight as they will run through fairway into woods. Many areas where rough along the edges of fairway has no grass.
great low key course
Perfectly challenging for an intermediate player. Flat course with elevated greens. Spectacular views of active military planes flying overhead. Well maintained.
Awesome course for the price
Would be perfect if it was for all the mosquito's, and the small holes on the green.. But overall its a decent course and a great deal. I will be returning.

Ms Virginia was awesome! Course in good shape for winter/ early spring.
Average course small greens
Small elevated greens, 18 bucks makes it worth it if you catch the hot deals. Staff was friendly and course was average at best. You need ID to get on the base along with your cars Ins. card and registration.
to wet to play, but allowed play!
Like the course, but today it was raining and there were lake on every fairway (aka) water pools.
A Dump!!
This course is in terrible condition...greens look like fungus is alive and well and no grass on tees. Fairways in horrible shape and thick, dead leaves in all rough. Lost six balls because the shots went into the leaves. The course gives Bacon Park and Mary Calder a run for their money as the worst courses I've ever played.
This is a good course for someone starting out.
The day I played it was very windy and a bit chilly. Course was in pretty good condition. I liked the little hills and valleys, it was a challenge to keep the ball on the "mounded" greens. I would def. play this course again. The best part was the price I got from Golf now, WOW!
Great day at the right price!
A great way to spend a day while the Mrs. was at a seminar. Nice course, fairly well kept with few problems. Greens were slightly larger than postage stamp, all elevated with some deterioration on the back nine but generally in good shape. The price was right with the generous GolfNow discount!
This course is fun and challenging with its elevated and sometimes small greens.
This is a course that is both fun and challenging. It offers a little bit of everything that makes you a better golfer. The fairways and greens were in great shape. It is about the best public course in our area.
Laid out very nice
Was in town for 2 days. This was right in town. The fairways are wide and manicured. The greens are very flat and easy. Loved it!!
course is in terrible condition, almost as bad as bacon park......
Greens, Fairways, and Rough all looks the same just about just cut at different heights. Yes there is some actual proper grass growing on the greens, but its like putting through a water puddle there so slow. I would rate the greens at a 1/4 of a 1 on the stimp. I have played here off and on over a two year period only because of the convenient location and lack of personal time for myself. It is only my last option to play though and only for practice of woods and iron play I won't even keep score at this course. I have seen the continual disregard to try to improve course conditions...fact of matter is management only cares that you pay them and not that they are providing a nice course that you will enjoy...never pay more than $22 to play 18 holes or your just ripping yourself off...
my handicap index is 11.1 so I'm not a rookie
Great course for elevated greens.
Would recommend course for walkers. Can walk at anytime. Many players on the course, but pace of play was good, though no sign of a marshal.
Would return for practice on elevated greens and relatively narrow fairways.
course is wet and greens need work
would be a nice course if it wasn't so wet. Not because of rain. Must be at or below sea level. All greens were elevated and in need of repair. Staff was just ok and course was mostly fun but I would rather play elsewhere.
