About
Nestled in the foothills of the north Georgia mountains, Sugar Hill Golf Club tumbles across elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. The course is artfully laid across the rolling hills, weaving through stands of mature trees, to provide it with the maximum level of challenge and the best views. The natural contours played a role in determining the placement of the bunkers around the greens and fairways as well as shaping the sharp doglegs. As if the golf course didn't already have enough challenges, there are also deep grass canyons and water hazards to contend with. The par-4 fifth and the par-3 12th are memorable water holes, both featuring large lakes that lurk in front of the greens. Sugar Hill G.C. is known as one of the toughest golf courses in the area.

Good Course
My main beef was the pace of play. Back nine, not sure why a Marshall wasn't patrolling. We had a group in front of us that was playing SUPER slow. We jumped them on one hole, only to be delayed by another group. We pressed then a little and the pace picked up. The group we jumped was still on the green when we were already approaching our green. Generally, the pace here is good and most goflers know common courtesy to allow faster golfers to go thru. Cart parth only didn't help the situation. These guys were walking to their ball, then going back to the golf cart for their club and then driving off. Greens looked fast but were actually in good condition.

Terrible!!!!!
I booked a tee time on golf now and when I showed up to the course everything was chained up and closed. I called the proshop and they confirmed they where closed and said I had to call golf now to get my money back. I have been going back and fourth with golf now for over 20 days and still havnt got my money back. Ig before booking call the proshop and make sure they are open.

Course very well maintained
Although it is a public golf course, the green fee is very reasonable and the course is very well maintained.

You will not find better for your money anywhere in the country
This is a wonderful course. Pro shop staff are amazing and the course is always in good shape. Great value and well worth the money. If you wanna play for under $50 no where will be better than this.

Ground was wet with all the rain the past week. But course was I good condition and cart path only .some tee boxes need repair with sand on it on some tee boxes. Overall a very nice layout for a course

Surly Staff - I would fire them all, if I owned this course
I will not come here again. The rangers are surly and not professional at all. The greens and carts are in very poor condition. Take this course off your list even if it is free.
