About
Nestled in the foothills of the north Georgia mountains, Sugar Hill Golf Club tumbles across elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. The course is artfully laid across the rolling hills, weaving through stands of mature trees, to provide it with the maximum level of challenge and the best views. The natural contours played a role in determining the placement of the bunkers around the greens and fairways as well as shaping the sharp doglegs. As if the golf course didn't already have enough challenges, there are also deep grass canyons and water hazards to contend with. The par-4 fifth and the par-3 12th are memorable water holes, both featuring large lakes that lurk in front of the greens. Sugar Hill G.C. is known as one of the toughest golf courses in the area.

A fun challenging course
The course is in good condition. It is a challenging layout with lots of hills. I teed off early so pace was great.

Going downhill
I was reminded of why we don’t play here much anymore. From a late start to the driving range not being available because the maintenance folks were late to finding greens covered in practice golf balls that were apparently left by the staff.. They are busy, so I guess they don’t care.

Nice layout and challenging course.
The course layout is live l nice and challenging. You have to choose a safe tee shot because it's several blind shots off the tee and on your approach. I will play here again because it was a good challenge for where I'm at in my golf game.

Great course for the money and area
Very nice course for the area. The greens are a bit different but they roll nice. Well worth the course fornthe money.

horrifyingly slow pace of place
there were three groups ahead of me that were all playing extremely slow. some were teeing off and putting multiple times as well. no one monitored the pace. staff members never came around to see how terribly slow these people were playing.

Oh What A Great Fall Day
Wonderful weather. A bit blustery. Leaves becoming somewhat aggravating-hard to find golf ball occasionally. Greens were in good condition. Overall a very nice day of golf.

enjoyed it thoroughly
I was paired with 2 middle aged men from South Korea
who despite some difficulty with English and my hearing loss were totally patient with me i asked them to repeat themselves. They were extremely amiable playing partners even as we were total strangers, even giving me valuable tips on putting (i missed 6 footers right and left), while one had 27 for the day!

Great experience!
The golf course is very relented course with hills with every holes. With fun and learning hints from my fellow player. They paired me with this unknown player. I appreciated but didn’t like riding together!
