About
Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Highland Course at Lake Arrowhead weaves through rolling woodlands. Every hole offers unique scenery and stunning mountain views. The golf course was completely redesigned in 2008, which makes it one of Atlanta's younger courses; nevertheless it has quickly garnered a strong following amongst locals thanks to not only the challenging layout but also the affordable rates and beautiful setting. Lake Arrowhead's convenient location makes it even more appealing, it sits less than an hour north of Atlanta. The golf course features strategically placed bunkers and plenty of trees. It is a layout that requires careful course management. The 14th hole is arguably the most difficult. This tricky par 5 is known to test even the most skilled players.

Fun Track
Really enjoyed the layout - forces club selection and has a nice mix of challenging holes with the occasional short par 4. Staff was very accommodating, as there had been a major accident that affected my tee time. Would go back when in area.

Hidden Gem for the Atlanta Region
The area and views were stunning. What a nice getaway to just take your mind off of things. The range and clubhouse were excellent, and pricing was very reasonable for everything. The course was definitely challenging , including a lot of forced carry throughout. High caliber golfers could really test themselves as the black tees seemed to be on another planet. The fairways and rough are only things that seem to be losing their prestige. Seems like cutbacks in cost or something let them slide down to more typical municipal level quality. (Wouldn’t expect anything better than this for the cost though )
Was sad the lake really wasn’t in view from the course I kind of assumed by name that it would be.
Our foursome tees off 9:50 on a Friday and got through in 4hrs 20 min
It is absolutely a great idea to take day and come out to this course

this course is difficult for beginners.
A golf course has been created utilizing the natural terrain. therefore, for people who are visiting for the first time and are in familiar with course, if they try to use long clubs forcefully, it often leads to poor results. to achieve good outcomes, it is important to let go of greed and approach the game with mindset of using iron to send the ball to reasonable distance, without exerting too much force, and aiming to reach the game in 3 to 4 shots.

GolfNow Tee Times/Prices
Was booked immediately behind a senior women’s tournament and it took me 3 1/2 hours to play the front 9. At one point we had 4 groups on the same whole waiting. 3 of the groups decided to play together to slow down play. The women left after 9 and I played the backside in 1 hr 15 minutes… Shoulve been discounted and next time whoever books the tee times shouldn’t have times available to buy online so close together. Absolutely BS. Had I have known this before purchasing (online) I wouldn’t have came. App needs to be fixed asap.

Nice setting
I live close and play here 4-5 times a year. I usually always get a hot deal that fits my schedule so it turns out to be an excellent value. The front is a bit cooky imo. The condition of the front needs some work too. The back is a more interesting layout and in better condition. Greens are in better than average shape for this time of year. All in all an excellent value.

Good Day at Arrowhead
Enjoyed 18 holes of enjoyable , but challenging golf at Lake Arrowhead. Course was in good shape particularly compared to many public courses in North Metro Atlanta who have had tough winter and spring weather wise accompanied by heavy play.
Staff at Arrowhead always courteous. This is a challenging course with a lot of carry . I advise players to adjust their game to the set of tees/yardage that is realistic for them,

If you are in the Lake Arrowhead ares, it is a good place to go. Not worth a long commute to get there.
