About
Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Highland Course at Lake Arrowhead weaves through rolling woodlands. Every hole offers unique scenery and stunning mountain views. The golf course was completely redesigned in 2008, which makes it one of Atlanta's younger courses; nevertheless it has quickly garnered a strong following amongst locals thanks to not only the challenging layout but also the affordable rates and beautiful setting. Lake Arrowhead's convenient location makes it even more appealing, it sits less than an hour north of Atlanta. The golf course features strategically placed bunkers and plenty of trees. It is a layout that requires careful course management. The 14th hole is arguably the most difficult. This tricky par 5 is known to test even the most skilled players.

Lake Arrowhead
Nice track with elevated holes and huge potential. However tee boxes all dirt and so many burnt out patches on fairways and greens. Horrible condition!

Great improvement after the struggle with crabgrass last season. Got out early (a bit chilly) but no waiting and Great time for the three of us.

great course, needs tee box and irrigation work
love the course, tee boxes not good, baked out conditions, however the greens were hard and fast and fairly smooth

Nice mountain course, good value.
I play this course often, as I live at Lake Arrowhead. Nice layout, picturesque and challenging. I'm surprised that there are few ball washers. Biggest disappointment is they move way to short. You must hit off concrete, not grass which is thin and too short. Fairways need attention, aeration and repair. Please stop mowing way too short. Other than this, great views, fun, challenging.

Great value for this course. Friendly staff. Fun layout to the course. Better hit your drive straight! Could use a few more yardage markers/sprinkler yardages throughout the course. Overall great experience.

I like this course. The Marshal, Rick, goes out of his way to be welcoming and it’s appreciated. Given recent rains, the course was in good shape. No complaints.

Somewhat challenging layout but nice view.
Overall I would return. Nice view, not in bad shape, green is fast and friendly staff. Played through front 9 without an issue but back 9 was EXTREMELY slow. Did not see one ranger to keep the pace going and we ended up skipping three holes.

Excellent Views
Excellent views. Extremely challenging course. Very slow pace of play, took over 5 hours for the round and never saw a ranger during play. Very nice clubhouse.

Beautiful Setting For 9 Holes
It’s still early spring so the fairways are still without lots of grass. The greens were fast and true. Very challenging terrain especially hole 5. All in all was a wonderful time and well worth the scenic drive. I’m visiting from out of town and it was a great afternoon.

Hidden Gem
A bit far from Atlanta, but what a pleasant getaway! Greens were a little sandy but they were still rolling fast. Great layout!

Great course
Fun to play and challenging. Greens rolled good and were in great shape for this time of year. Bunkers need work. Some tee boxes were in rough condition. Very beautiful and good value for the money. Staff was very friendly!
