About
Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Highland Course at Lake Arrowhead weaves through rolling woodlands. Every hole offers unique scenery and stunning mountain views. The golf course was completely redesigned in 2008, which makes it one of Atlanta's younger courses; nevertheless it has quickly garnered a strong following amongst locals thanks to not only the challenging layout but also the affordable rates and beautiful setting. Lake Arrowhead's convenient location makes it even more appealing, it sits less than an hour north of Atlanta. The golf course features strategically placed bunkers and plenty of trees. It is a layout that requires careful course management. The 14th hole is arguably the most difficult. This tricky par 5 is known to test even the most skilled players.

Extremely tough course
Let me start with this: winter golf is tough anywhere. Combine it with a more difficult than most course and first time playing and, well, recipe for a grind.
It would be nice to see a "blended" set of tees between the Blue and the White as there are dozens of difficult hazard carries in play. Really nice views and overall good conditions for winter although the greens could've been a bit more consistent.
My group will consider a return for a summer round, but likely with our own set-up on Blue/White tees.
Bar and beverage staff could use some work
Not bad overall. Good play for a good price and good scenery. Would recommend to a friend.

Niceday
Course in good shape for this time of year. Greens had a few sandy areas but overall in good condition.Some tee boxes need some work.Pace of play was good and we finished in about 4 hours.

Fun day at lake arrowhead
Fairly new golfer, went here to play with a friend and was paired with another twosome. Great value for the course, challenging course with a lot of elevation changes. The staff were the friendliest I have experienced on a golf course.

course was good and very friendly staffs made me comfortable all time. just that the team ahead was playing very slow and had to wait every hole at the tee box. other than that, everything was good.

Priceless
So I’m sure that I have a biased opinion about the overall location, being that I am from the area, but there has to be something special about this course. From the time you arrive in the clubhouse parking lot you are met by the beautiful grasses of fairways and greens centered amongst the background of the North Georgia mountains. Courses like this will continue to keep golfers like me hooked far into the future.

Great course, great price
I really enjoyed my time playing this course yesterday. The course is in great condition, my only complaint would be the U.S. Open thick rough on three of the holes, But I wouldn’t be complaining I guess if I hadn’t sprayed my drive into them I. The first place. Great scenery, greens rolled well and were soft, will definitely go back.

Solid course; worth the money and drive
Course is in great condition. Elevation changes make it challenging. Greens are fast. Overall, worth the drive to Arrowhead.

First Time at Lake Arrowhead
We were the first group out for the day and saw deer on the first few holes. The ranger was a little pushy on the front side but the group behind us was a hole and a half back. Fairways were in good condition. One green had a little crab grass but most were in decent condition for November.

Difficult but Fun Course
Incredibly interesting and challenging course. Lots of fun, The course utilizes the terrain to make it unlike anything else you may have played. The tee boxes could use some work, though.
