Slow Play - Poor Conditions
Front 9 took 3 hours, causing me to skip the back.
Greens appear to have potential, but need some mowing and rolling. Not much fairway growth. Everything was super dry.
It was a $28 round, so I didn’t expect Pebble Beach. And I didn’t get Pebble Beach.
Staff was friendly and doing what they could with what they have to work with.
Okay value
Bob, his wife and staff are really great people, greens were good but a bit fuzzy and slow on this day. Tee boxes were really bad. Biggest issue was pace of play, 5 hour rounds are not fun.
It’s ok
You get what you pay for. It’s a good course to take someone that is just starting to play.
Alright
I’ve seen it in better shape…..greens pretty rough but playable.
Course is eh
The greens are awful. Super patchy grass and lots of dead spots. Each putt is just a prayer.
Friendly staff but way too over booked and backed up
At one point there was 4 groups waiting to tee off on the same tee box because the course was so overbooked and backed up. Took 3 hours to play 6 holes and my group plays very fast
Could be better
The helpful and friendly staff is the only good thing about this course. Tee times were severely overbooked to the point of having 3 groups on the same hole at times, fairways are mostly dead and laid flat, greens were terribly inconsistent and super bouncy. Also there are a few holes with stagnant water that smells awful and is a hot bed for mosquitoes.
Good course for practice.
When I first started playing here many years ago the greens were astro turf. Pine hill has come a long way since then.
If you want a decent course to practice your short game this one is OK. Its not overpriced and doesn't have many amenities but they do have a good hotdogs. The greens are slow and kind of like carpet but it's a fun course.
