Needs spring cleaning
Several pin holes were beat up. The flag wouldn’t stand up and the top ring was flopping around. Slow play. People ahead constantly stopping looking for balls in the woods. Greens were funky snd furry. Downhill downgrain fast as lightning. Couldn’t shoot it with a cannon uphill! Should be better when the weather gets warmer. As most courses will. A nice track if you didn’t have to wait so long to hit.
Always a great place to play
The staff is friendly and the course is fun to play… Not a fancy place, but still very challenging… I have never had a bad day here
A great course
My third time playing at this course and I love it! For the price it’s good, I shot my first eagle at the start of this year! Can’t wait to come back.
Great words
So first let me say I have played here for wars, I had a friend out this week and we played Sugar Hill Collins Hill Country Land and here. This was his favorite amongst the four, for him and I agree. Great job at Pine Hills. Please never sell this to the developers.
Could be so much better
I played here because I couldn’t get on anywhere else. I honestly love the layout; it’s wide open and accessible, with a nice mix of holes, and as tough a set of par 3 holes from the tips yardage wise. The conditions are what you’d expect for a sub $30 round. The greens are consistently inconsistent. Some roll like shag carpet, others like astroturf, and some like both on the same green. Again, it’s a little over $20 with a cart. It costs a lot to maintain a golf course, and it would be ridiculous to expect the conditions to be better than they are.
What doesn’t cost a lot is customer service. I had a 10:44 tee time, and I arrived in plenty of time to hit some balls to warm up. Speaking of the range, it’s grass-ish (dormant and pretty chewed up) and is plenty long to enable you to hit everything in the bag.
I had hit about half of my bucket when it was time to go to the tee. I started over to my cart and was intercepted by the woman from the pro shop, who told me I needed to let the group finishing up on 18 tee off first. I was a single, and the hole was wide open, but she insisted I wait on this group, who turned out to be four very elderly - and slow - gentlemen. I literally could have teed off and finished the hole before they even got a tee in the ground, but instead went back to the range and finished my bucket. Then, she apparently allowed another group to make the same turn, so I spent the day backed up on a twosome, which was backed up behind a glacial foursome.
That same foursome then kept playing and proceeded to back the rest of the day, which I am guessing is known, since they seemed to be regulars. If your course doesn’t like to have singles, don’t make the tee times available. There used to be a very nice young woman in the pro shop who was very accommodating, but she is gone and the customer service has suffered.
Oh yeah… this dog wanders the course as well,.
Decent course.
For the money not bad. A few holes are badly neglected. Some tee boxes are terrible upkept and the greens are like shag carpets. It’s what I expected for the money but still really poor conditions.
Friendliest golf course in Georgia
Just a greeting I receive each time I come here is worth the price of plane! The price to play is a bargain and the course is challenging… I have never been here and had a bad day! Okay
Good course to practice
Pace of play for the time of day was great. Greens are a but rough and the fairways as well. It's an old course thst could use some grooming but always great to play. Great placeto practice.
Greens a little rough
Easy pace of play, course personnel were friendly, fairways were fine for time of year. Several greens were bumpy.
