About
The Ka'anapali Resort on Maui is home to two championship golf courses, set on 1,200 acres of land home to ancient Hawaiian royalty. The Ka'anapali Kai course is an Arthur Jack Snyder design from 1976 that received an extensive renovation in 2005. The golf course is shorter and has a lower slope/rating compared to its sister Royal Ka'anapali course, but also plays narrower in most spots. Many holes are tucked into the West Maui Mountains The golf course is women-friendly with a forward set of "Hibiscus" tees at 4,522 yards, and also less expensive to resort guests and visitors compared to Royal Ka'anapali, which has played host to numerous professional events.

great course to end the golf trip
We played many courses this trip and this one was the last. What a great ending. Greens in good shape, good pace, nice scenery, little things like golf carts gps showed other carts ahead, ice in coolers, free waters and nice bathrooms. And just the two of us got out. Enjoyable round.
Much better than expected
Reviews I read before playing didn't excite me, but the Kai course was a solid layout with great views of the West Maui mountains and glimpses of the ocean and Molokai in the distance. The holes east of the highway were more interesting along the side of the foothills, and #7, with the tee shot over a gorge was a highlight. Last minute Hot Deal was a great value! I'll try Royal K next time in Maui.
Very nice course with some great views. Fairways were generous and forgiving, greens we were in good shape, difficult to read the break. I would definitely play the course again.
Pretty good
Overall the course was good, although the bunker “sand” was more like dirt. Bring a sand wedge with little to no bounce.

great experience. played twice. very fast pace of play. enjoyed gift. will play again when I return to Hawaii.
What a TREAT!
The course was great, the weather and scenery were spectacular and the price was right. We loved it.
This course was enjoyable
Course is relatively easy - most holes have plenty of space and are pretty straightforward. Course is fine shape - not great but definitely not bad. We enjoyed the round.
