About
Tamarack Golf Club is a course that will test your shot-making skills yet it is still player-friendly enough to appeal to all skill levels. Pete Dye designed the course with tight, sculpted fairways and undulating greens that come in a range of sizes. The layout offers plenty of challenges with water or sand coming into play on every hole. The golf course will test your accuracy but it is not as difficult as many other Dye designs. The third is one of the toughest holes. A severely undulating green protected by deep bunkers makes placement vitally important on this par 3. The 15th is one of the back nine's more challenging holes. It presents an interesting risk-reward opportunity with a myriad of teeing options. Water lines the entire right side and the two-tiered green is flanked with bunkers to the front and right.

Played last week, course didn’t have scorecards. This week, there was a ~20-minute delay waiting for carts.
Needs starter ranger
I think instead of the guy sitting in the clubhouse talking with the girl working the register, he should be working as a starter because there was none never saw Ranger I think guys jumped from one to 10 at the turn sand traps were horrific. You could at least spray and kill the weeds and grass growing in them. poorly run and manage course.
Please fix this course
This course has so much potential. To the corporate owners of the course, please put the money into the course. These are some of the worst sand traps (if you could even call it sand) I have ever seen
Last Time Here
Terrible pace of play… waited 20 minutes to tee off initially and at least 10 minutes on each hole. No golf carts available initially, then our cart died on hole two. Bunkers are basically mud or dirt, no water on course, missing half the ball washers. Last time playing here.
Arcis- the vampires of the golf industry
Zero stars. Arcis golf destroyed yet another course! Vampires of the golf industry. Course is in horrible shape! Clubhouse in shambles. Staff are like deer in headlights. Do the neighborhood a favor and light a match and burn the place down. 🤣
Every Arcis managed course is crap. Beware!!!
Will never play a round here again
No starter, so we started 25 minutes late.
Limited amount of golf carts, (ours and the twosome ahead of us cart's died on the 12th hole). Sand traps were mostly rocks and dirt, very little if any sand. Weeds everywhere, trees had been fallen and were just left..Greens had recently been aerated and were very dry and sandy, tee boxes are not being taken care of (many old divets)...this was the worst condition course so far this year.

Great staff, great pricing, great pace of play and layout. We were able to play as a Twosome. Only problem was with the bunkers, no sand in most and some had rocks, rest of the course was in great shape!!!

Course in terrible condition
Fairway bunkers were all washed out; basically rock or mud. Some of greenside bunkers the same, but some ok. Greens were in terrible shape; some aerated with huge holes with no dressing, and some with far too much sand. The greens not aerated were inconsistent as well; some burned out and some ok. Overall trying to determine pace for a putt was impossible due to insistent condition. Many trees were down and in various stsges of cleanup. Tee boxes come nowhere near the yardages on card; one set even nonexistent. Total crap.

Rising like a phoenix
I used to play Tamarack a couple times a year (quite far from my home), but ceased when something caused the grass to die, leaving little more than a dirt track (same thing happened to La Grange CC). As such, I was impressed by conditions. Nice recovery! It is clearly early in the season and I assume more will be done, but we had a good time despite the high velocity winds.

Water hazard on every hole.. on and off the fairways as well as in the bunkers
A course with a moderate challenge, but it is made worse with poor drainage and total lack of maintenance. But it is one course open close to where I live. So I play there ... just to get out of the house, If you do not care about the the course conditions, it is OK to go here

Once a decent flat terrain layout - now going bad
A flat course with water hazard on every hole. Maintenance is just bare enough to recognize this as a golf course. The major issue is sand bunkers. Most of them are mud pits. Previous suggestions for improvement had no effect.

Fairways and greens in good shape. Bunkers are not for the most part. Thin cover, rocks, and more rocks.

Great value
For the average golfer which most of us are this is great value for money! Tee boxes can be a little rough but definitely nothing to worry about and some bunkers are lacking sand depth but fairways and greens are great ! For anyone who is realistic about there true level of golf this works great!
