Tamarack Golf Club

Sr rate of $28 enticed me to visit Tamarack which I had not played in many years. Overall, well worth the trip as greens were quite fast and well maintained. Yes, there were remnants of weeds here and there but they had been addressed and sand traps had proper amount of sand for shot that was needed. I would suggest that club place 100, 150, and 200 yard stakes on right side of fairway as GPS not on carts. Lunch sandwich with fountain drink for $5 a nice touch rather than the old hot dog routine. Play the middle tees unless you can really hit a good tee ball - the slope rating of 130 for 6023 yards gives you a hint of what awaits you.

Front 9 - very easy
Back 9 - a killer ... lots of sand and water ... LOTS OF FUN and a decent challenge ...

I couldn't believe how many weeds were on the fairways.

This course used to be a very good course. With its numerous water hazards, it has a challenging lay-out. In recent years, the management has let this place down. The fairways are in terrible shape. It has not been fertilized, seeded or weeded for many moons. The greens are in fair condition. That is the only 'good' thing I can say about this course. I am sure the management will blame the winter for the course conditions. But all you have to look at are the backyards of the houses lining the fairways... they are in great shape. Poor, poor care and management.

The course was in good condition, especially for early in the golf season. Greens were rolling well. Overall good experience.

Sand traps were well maintained with actual sand in them. Tee boxes mostly in bad shape. Fairways very thin on grass. Greens did not hold any kind of a wedge shot, very hard

Course in bad shape. Fairways were dead in many places and greens very slow. Cheap and no one around so played alone in less than 3 hrs.

The course is nice and the staff is friendly. Only negative is the pace of play. Tee times should be farther apart, and they really need to have rangers to keep things moving. We were stuck behind a threesome, couldn't hit farther than 150 yards, but insisted on hitting from the gold tees. Also stopped to look for their lost balls despite having three groups backed up behind them.

Great looking course, only played nine of my 18. Really windy and cold. I am wondering if it's always that windy. I would go back again anytime!

I'm a . 12-13 handicap. There are large fairway bunkers on every hole. . Very large bunkers protecting every green . If you don't hit a lot of greens or fairways (which is basically 95% of golfers) it could be a long day. Fairly long course from the black tees just in front of the championship tees. Also there are a lot of tight fairways with water on multiple holes. Not a fun course for the average golfer looking to build some confidence. All in all a pretty good course just challenging

It is on ok course, but the staff service is just so-so...

Good and always challenging course. Even though it was cold weather, it is good enough to enjoy the field and the end of fall. Course was nice but I need more practice to overcome of hazards, bunkers, and unexpected miss shots.

good pace of play, course still in great shape. Scorecard showed water on most holes but only in play on several!

We have played Tamarack twice and have had an enjoyable experience each time. Can't wait to play Tamarack again.

Course was very hard and dry. Speed of greens was good. Sand traps were ok, to much sand if anything. Collars of greens were not in good shape.

The green is very bad. It looks not taken care of. The sand is very bad and tee box is is very bad.

nice course, well maintained. Pace of play was good and course is somewhat challenging, mostly due to abundant water hazards.

A great challenging course, clean, well kept. Several par 4 and 5's. Course accommodates all types of players. Very friendly staff.
