Woodlands Golf Club, which sits only 30 minutes from St. Louis, is known for having some of the area's best greens. The putting surfaces roll true and hold well on the approach. This public course has garnered a local following thanks to not only its green conditions but also the affordable rates. With a diverse landscape and unique hole designs, it's definitely a shot-maker's layout. You'll probably use every club in your bag on this golf course. A long creek winds across the entire layout, coming into play on a few holes. There are also strategically placed bunkers that lurk along the greensides. Although Woodlands Golf Club is relatively short at just over 6,400 yards from the back tees, it feels much longer thanks to a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic.

Improving
Course has improved considerably since under new ownership! Staff is friendly and helpful. I am sure they will continue to improve over time including installation of a driving range. Overall a very good value!

This course is great for casual golfers . The deal on golf now made it a great deal . Greens were in great condition . We had a good time

Love the layout of this course. Fairways are in good condition and greens roll true. I personally think the greens here are some of the best in the area.
Staff are very nice and accommodating.
Only drawback is the amount of gnats around the course. Bring bug spray!
A great day for golf. The front 9 played a little slow - the pace was better on the back 9. The course shape (fairways/rough) was okay given the conditions we have had this spring, but there is definitely some work to do to get into top form. The greens were overall good with some spots here and there. A nice variety of holes, hills, and hazards.
Very confusing layout
Don’t depend on your gps. Course crisscrosses everywhere and holes have been changed several times. Staff was great and the new owners seem to be trying hard to make improvements. Can’t wait to see what the future holds!

Rough winter!
Course is in pretty good shape considering the long rough winter we have had. Grounds crew working very hard to get course back in shape. The owners are very committed to providing the best experience to their customers.
Good, fun course.
Course is in really good shape considering the weather. Fun setup with several challenges. Plan to play often.
Major Improvements
The previous owners had let the course run down over the years.
The new owners and staff have done an amazing job bringing this course back into shape.
I have let the inside staff and outside maintenance crew know how impressed I am with everything they have accomplished this year.
We will definitely be playing this course again and again!

It was good - not easy - greens were good. Weather was cool. A good day.
Fairway and greens in great shape.
It has been 4 or 5 years since I have played at Woodlands. I stopped playing here because the course was not being maintained very well.
There are new owners now and they are really working hard to bring the course back to it's original condition. The greens and fairways are in great condition. It looks like they are working on getting the bunkers in shape now. My foursome all agreed we will back many more times this year. Thank you for bringing this course back!
A Good Value set in the Hills
First time playing this course and I enjoyed it for the most part. The entire course is not hilly but there are enough I would not want to walk this course.
There is numerous holes where water comes into play, whether it is the creek winding through the course or the ponds. There are also sand traps located by the greens on a few holes.
The fairways were in good conditions, grass thick and well watered. Greens were maintained well, I saw no patches of dead grass on the greens.
Some tight fairways but most were not too bad.
We were a few minutes shy of 5 hours to play 18. There was two groups in front who took forever to make a shot. They had their music on and they were in not hurry. There was no golf marshal I ever saw.
This was a Sunday, we could buy beer, but they had no cooked food to buy. Snacks was all we could get.
All in all, for the money and they beauty out here, I would play here again.
Good day...
Overall everything was pretty good. Only bad thing we were backed up behind 3 groups of 4 on 1,2. Things opened up some after that until 10 when we were backed up again. Bought 9 Bud Lt for $19.50...not bad!!
