About
Bartlett Hills Golf Club has been a favorite Chicagoland golf destination since it first opened in 1929. To keep the layout up to modern standards, it has undergone many changes over the years but it still has the same classic character. At 6,463 yards from the back tees, this traditional layout might not be long but it still provides a fair test. Rather than distance, the golf course demands smart play and accurate shot placement thanks to narrow, tree-lined fairways and several tricky doglegs. You might not have many chances to use your driver but you'll definitely get some iron practice. There isn't too much trouble off of the tees at Bartlett Hills G.C. But greenside you'll be faced with nearly 30 strategically placed bunkers and water hazards come into play on seven holes, which include some forced carries.

Lightning fast greens
Thought I was putting on glass. Fastest greens I have played. Was so much fun. Keep it up
Condition of course and pin placements
The golf course was an excellent condition only problems that I feel that contribute to slow play is the very high rough around the greens and the first cut of rough was brutal multiple shots for many people I had watched. The pin placements were complete bull you can't put pins where you had them on that day can't hold the green can't putt everything would roll off of the greens other than that we love the place.
Amazing Day on the Course
Had one of the best days of golf. Started with the super-friendly staff that helped us add a 4th to our party to the guy in the snack booth who offered a bag of ice to keep our drinks cold. The course is beautiful and well taken care of. What a fantastic day!
Hidden gem
My buddies told me about this place. Was told the greens are the best in the area and they did not disappoint. Keep this place on the down low because it is a hidden gem for the Chicagoland area.
A hidden secret
Very nice course just wish they had more earlier tee times on golf pass. Right next to the Bartlett Metra Station. The grounds crew were out there making many improvements.
Great improvements
They have put a lot of time and money into this place. It’s a complete 180 since we last played. We will for sure be back very soon to play again.
Good course overall....but trying to putt.....ugh
These greens are some of the fastest in Chicago. They are incredibly undulated and hard to read. My friend and I are both around six handicap. We were on the 13th hole when he said to me...."This place makes you feel like you don't know how to putt". That was truly a belly laugh..... It was funny because it was so spot-on accurate.
They do need to get to work on some of these traps. I did notice that they were doing full repairs and replacement on two of the traps in the early part of the back 9. Fairway trap on number one is a real mess. If you want to challenge.... This course has got it all.
Kicked off due to weather
Paid for 18 holes and only got thru 11 after getting kicked off on hole 12. No refund granted since we got past hole 9. Course was in good condition but make sure it’s a sunny day if you are booking because they won’t grant you a refund if they kick you off.
Pleasant Surprise
Haven’t played this course in a few years. I was pleasantly surprised because the course conditions were much better than I remembered. Played in a little over 4 hours so that wasn’t too bad.
