About
Bartlett Hills Golf Club has been a favorite Chicagoland golf destination since it first opened in 1929. To keep the layout up to modern standards, it has undergone many changes over the years but it still has the same classic character. At 6,463 yards from the back tees, this traditional layout might not be long but it still provides a fair test. Rather than distance, the golf course demands smart play and accurate shot placement thanks to narrow, tree-lined fairways and several tricky doglegs. You might not have many chances to use your driver but you'll definitely get some iron practice. There isn't too much trouble off of the tees at Bartlett Hills G.C. But greenside you'll be faced with nearly 30 strategically placed bunkers and water hazards come into play on seven holes, which include some forced carries.

The course is in great condition even at the end of the year, and the new tech in the golf carts is awesome! Being able to get distances to the holes, record your scores, and listen to music all from the same gadget is huge advantage over other courses. I actually don’t know of any courses in the general area they offer all of that, making Bartlett Hills a destination course for us.

The greens are so good
I have played all the local courses this summer in the surrounding area. I would say these are the fastest/truest greens my group has played on.

oh my the greens
It may not be the longest course, but it has well laid out for even the longest hitters. But man were the greens amazing! silky smooth and fast but not because they were hard as concrete. Plenty receptive on approach, just make sure to leave it below the hole ;)

Fun
Beautiful course. Each hole presented something unique. Great balance of challenging and playable, and they’ve taken great care to showcase the colorful nature throughout the property.

Slow slow slow
Played Sunday. But there were many open tee times and several 3somes.
But play horribly slow which started on hole 8.
Took almost two hours to play 10-15. We quit.
Couldn't take it any longer.

Ball Washers and Drinking Water
Both haven’t brought back since Covid. Would be nice to fill up on water especially when walking in the summer. Staff in the clubhouse could be a little more pleasant, a hello and thank you would go a long way.

Good course
This is a great course. Very difficult but fair. Is in great shape.

The Course Wide Open at Noon
We used the GolfNow rate at noon and the course was wide open. The greens were in very good shape and it's been kind of dry with no rain the past week. The traps on number nine hole needed more sand, but most traps were not in play during the round. The staff were friendly in the clubhouse and bar afterwards. We sat on the outside balcony overlooking the 18th green.
