Course Highlights
Bartlett Hills consistently earns praise for lightning-fast, perfectly sloped greens that rival country club conditions at a great value. The mature tree-lined layout, friendly staff, and well-maintained fairways make it a standout hidden gem in Chicagoland.

Bartlett Hills Golf Club has been a favorite Chicagoland golf destination since it first opened in 1929. To keep the layout up to modern standards, it has undergone many changes over the years but it still has the same classic character. At 6,463 yards from the back tees, this traditional layout might not be long but it still provides a fair test. Rather than distance, the golf course demands smart play and accurate shot placement thanks to narrow, tree-lined fairways and several tricky doglegs. You might not have many chances to use your driver but you'll definitely get some iron practice. There isn't too much trouble off of the tees at Bartlett Hills G.C. But greenside you'll be faced with nearly 30 strategically placed bunkers and water hazards come into play on seven holes, which include some forced carries.

A very well maintained golf course

This is our new go to golf course in my friend group. Greens are always good, GPS carts are awesome. Looking like they are putting some money into the course. I think new drainage and the starter said about half the bunkers are new which we noticed because they had actual sand

Impressive

I play here a few times a year and I’m always impressed with this golf course. Greens are maybe the best in the area and a wide variety of holes that test every golf club in my bag.

Woods

This is a great course. I don't think you can pin it down to one style part of the course weaves through the woods part and part is more open. The conditions are immaculate. It's a tough course. Make sure to pick the right tees.

Nice course slower play

I like the layout of this course nice hills with some tough approach shots.

The staff is very nice and professional.

The only down side is the pace of play.

Many older walkers so a 4.5 hr round is very possible. I can’t play well waiting every hole so I visit them durning off peak times.

Two Thumbs Up

February golf and great conditions. Course was in outstanding shape for the middle of February. Will be fun to see conditions in the summer. Not many courses open so this was my first time playing.

Best terrain in Chicagoland golf

Winter golf so considering that the course was in terrific condition. I can't wait to see it mid summer if it's this good in Feb.

Layout is very fun. Lots of elevation change (hardly a single flat hole on the course), with each a thoughtful and interesting design. Medium challenge - more than your garden variety muni, but not so hard to turn people away. It was perfect.

Every course (for me) gets evaluated on a few key things: fun/layout, price, quality (grounds, amenities, condition). This (those 3 factors considered) makes it one of my fav courses in the area.

Nothing for the price is nearly as good for me, and it takes quite a bump in price to beat it

Will absolutely return.

Christmas Golf

One of the few courses still open. It is a spectacular course. Im a regular who plays both Elgin courses. I will be adding this track to my rotation. Kinda hard to find the course and didn't even know Bartlett had an 18 hole course until I saw it on golfnow.
