Bartlett Hills Golf Club
About
Bartlett Hills Golf Club has been a favorite Chicagoland golf destination since it first opened in 1929. To keep the layout up to modern standards, it has undergone many changes over the years but it still has the same classic character. At 6,463 yards from the back tees, this traditional layout might not be long but it still provides a fair test. Rather than distance, the golf course demands smart play and accurate shot placement thanks to narrow, tree-lined fairways and several tricky doglegs. You might not have many chances to use your driver but you'll definitely get some iron practice. There isn't too much trouble off of the tees at Bartlett Hills G.C. But greenside you'll be faced with nearly 30 strategically placed bunkers and water hazards come into play on seven holes, which include some forced carries.

Too Expensive for April
$62 was just a silly price for early April. Course was in ok shape. Sand still on several greens. Bunkers not raked. Lots of divots on the greens. I guess I expect that for early in the year, but you should not pay more than $40 for this course in April.

Well Maintained Somewhat Challenging
I play here a couple of times each year. The course is well maintained, clubhouse patio is a nice spot fpr a beverage after the round.
Front nine is pretty straightforward, with a few challenging holes on the back nine.
Overall a very nice track.
Check Golfnow for specials. I played a senior rate for $34.
Excellent! We're thrilled that you enjoyed your round with us and we can't wait to have you back again soon at Bartlett Hills!
Great! Glad you enjoyed your time with us!
Terrific! Glad you enjoyed your time with us!
BEST DEAL IN ILLINOIS!!
This is one of the NICEST and MOST WELL MAINTAINED golf courses that I have ever played. Great course, great and friendly staff, and you SIMPLY CANT BEAT THE PRICE!!! Only $40 to play on a Resort Quality Golf Course!! The fact that I was able to play golf 9 DAYS BEFORE CHRISTMAS, IN CHICAGO, was also amazing to me as well!!
Terrific! We're thrilled that our course conditions met your expectations and that our staff left a great impression on you. We're also glad that you found us to be a great value and we can't wait to have you back at Bartlett Hills!
A round of golf mid December in Chicago - Amazing
Had an early tee time but delayed for about half an hour due to frost conditions. Started at the back nine to avoid the wait at the first tee as there were about 3-4 groups ahead of us in line. Greens were fast as they were frozen and sand traps were a little bit tricky to manage out into the green. We had a good pace of play as we have avoided the crowd playing the front nine and over all we had a great time playing this course today.
Outstanding! We're thrilled that you enjoyed our course despite the frost delay and we appreciate your review. We can't wait to have you back again soon at Bartlett Hills!
Great round of golf on cold autumn day
Played this round with a couple of friends braving the 35 degree weather. Staff in the pro shop awesome had the carts ready for us upon arrival. There were very few golfers testing the course this day of the year so we had a really enjoyable round almost nobody in sight ahead and behind us. The fairways were well tended and I guess we were a little bit early for the maintenance crew who were scrambling to get ahead of us and clear the geese poops before our balls landed on the green. If not for the chilly temperature I would say it was a great experience playing this course.
Outstanding! We're thrilled that you enjoyed our course despite the cold weather. We're glad that our staff left a great impression on you and we appreciate your review. We can't wait to have you back again soon at Bartlett Hills!
Picturesque yet Challenging
This was a pretty tough course due the the narrow fairways and plenty of trees. Many tee boxes are elevated and some fairways rolling or angle away from you and some are blind tee shots. If you miss the fairway recovery could be a challenge. The course was in good condition considering the time of the year. Played it in under 4 hours but it wasn't crowded plus I took my time. This course will challenge your accuracy and is a good course for all levels. The wind played a factor on a difficult course, which makes shot selection a key. Great course and looking forward to playing again now that I kind of know it.
Great! We're glad that you enjoyed our course and the challenge it presented. We're also pleased that you were able to play at a good pace. We appreciate your review and we look forward to having you back again soon!
Nice course, tough course
On probably the last nice day of the year, played with four friends. Course was in great shape, greens, fairways, even the traps. The course is challenging, especially from the back tees, with narrow chutes, overhanging trees, side-sloped fairways, and tricky greens. A lot of fun.
Excellent! We're glad that our course conditions met your expectations and that you enjoyed the challenge of our layout. We're pleased that you had a lot of fun at our course and we look forward to having you back again soon!
Great place to play- hidden gem
Love the layout. Great place to shoot for score. Challenging yet entertaining.
Great course conditions were very good traps could use a little work but overall great course great layout.
What a nice golf course! Western suburbs MUST olay
What a nice golf course, very underrated ! Challenging fairways, challenging greens . Good golf course conditions. If you have not played Bartlett Hills you are missing out on playing a hidden Gem at a reasonable rate. A must play for those who truly appreciate playing various golf courses.
Great, challenging, hilly, well-maintained course hidden away in Bartlett
I vary my rounds between Bartlett Hills, St. Andrews, and Villa Olivia because I live in Bartlett, but Bartlett Hills is my favorite. The course is just flat-out gorgeous. They do call it "Bartlett HILLS" for a reason, so you do need to be in good shape to walk instead of ride. The staff do a nice job of maintaining the course throughout the year. The pace is usually pretty good, though you're not likely to finish under 4 hours unless you get there very early. But on the other hand, I can't remember every having a round longer than 4.5 hours.
Good Prices, Great Layout, Slow Pace
Tee time: 2:16 on a Friday ($35)
Second time playing Bartlett Hills in the last 2 months. Outside of the pace, I love the way this course plays. Both times it has presented a challenge. Greens have subtle undulations, but roll pretty true. I love the elevated tee boxes, elevation changes, and sloping fairways. It's tight in areas, so if the course is crowded you will need to keep your head on swivel. Driving range on-site is a plus. As long as you're not too short on time, I would recommend giving Bartlett Hills a shot.
Good time
Had to wait for the lightning to go away, took awhile with their detectors are 10 mile radius. Had some beers while we waited with nice bartenders. Finally got out and it was a good time! After 12 holes lightning radar went off again so we decided to get a rain check. They gave us a rain check for 9 more holes without a problem
Great tine
Excellent course. Friendly staff. Easy pace
Thx for great time
Great! Glad you enjoyed your experience with us!
