Favorite course!!
Have been playing this course for the last 25 years and would
Say this is one of the best course in the Chicago area for Seniors specially the last three or four years It’s well maintained
Friendly atmosphere from Scott cashiers starters and course
maintenance crew
Nice course
First time playing this course. Little crowded and slowed the pace of play. The starter on duty this morning was rude and tried to force us into double playing for one cart on a 9 hole round. Absurd. At least the clubhouse employee knew what what was going on. I’d really not like to begin a round with a bad taste in my mouth but that was not the start we wanted. I’ll be back for sure and not let this one time make want to skip over this place. The course is pretty great otherwise.
Great beginners course
Par for the course with regards to forest preserve golf. Lots of trees (not many come into play), a number of deer, and players of all skill sets.
I am a 10.5 and played with a 6, a 23, and a 30. We all had a great time.
Word of warning the higher handicaps can lose a lot of balls in the woods and the drink. The lower handicaps can lose a lot of balls by hitting through the fairways so bring a dozen regardless of play level.
Fun and easy course
I’m tempted to give them an awful review after some really poor customer service, but I’m gonna chalk it up to having a bad day. Overall, this a nice course, fairly easy with good greens and wide fairways. Only a couple of tough holes where trees are a factor. #16 is fun to cut the corner with your drive and there are several sub 400 driveable par 4s.
Too much $$
Their listed golf now hot deals are more than regular price. That's messed up. I play there quite a bit but this year with covid you would think they would be reasonable on price instead they charge more. I like this course and people working there but I can play most other courses for less money
Novice friendly
I’m a once a week player and the course was difficult but from a rust on my swing stand point. Greens are awesome and putting is challenging but also exciting.
Decent value near city
Greens are in pretty decent shape. Lots of wide open fairways, and a fun 5-3-5-3 -5 on holes 14-18. Pace of play wasn’t good - took 5 hours to play 18. One of the par 3 bunkers has sand wasps - beware (I think it’s hole 8). For the cost and proximity to the city, this course is one of my go-to’s
Has potential
Staff was friendly, course was pretty dry which I can understand since there wasn't much rain recently. But I had a hard time finding my ball because there was a lot of leaves on the course, some white stuff that looked like cotton and had me thinking it was my ball.
Mediocre at Best
Relative to some of other great options in the Chicago area, this course is overpriced given the quality of it. It should be priced at more like $30-40 with a cart at its most expensive.
