Great course, great price!
Fun and open course. Forgiving fairways and well maintained. Great Price for the value.
Thanks for your review. We appreciate your feedback and hope to see you again soon!
Great Start to the Season
Had a great time playing Indian Boundary. The course is in great shape and I love golfing in the Forest Preserves.
Thank you for your review. We are delighted you enjoyed your time at our course. Hope to see you again soon!
wow lots of animals
I have never seen so much animal feces in my life.
We had deer ,dog, skunk ,rabbit ,coyote , and the normal goose.
It was all over the course I was never more then 2 feet from a pile or piles of something. It actually interfered with my ball a half dozen times.
Staff was unfriendly to me and other guests coming in to check in.
Fairways are tight, and worn .
Greens are about the size of a kids swimming pool.
Hi Jeff- we appreciate you playing Indian Boundary. Being located in the Forest Preserve, we do tend to have a lot of animal wildlife around the course. Playing in early April is a unique time for various reasons. The wildlife is not deep in the forest yet and they are still out on the course looking for vegetation to eat. In season, you do not see them as much. The feces issue is at the peak time right now because we have not started mowing the grass regularly. We'll be mowing this week and after a few mows that problem is corrected. Again, I appreciate you coming out and we'd love to see you back again soon.
Course was in decent condition considering all the rain that we had this past week. Tee boxes could use a little work, fairways and greens were in good shape. Needed a beer cart. Will definitely go back.
Decent Course for Price, But Way Too Busy
The course itself was very nice! It's a little short distance-wise but overall, I have no complaints with the round of golf itself.
The problem I had was the fact that there was a 3 group wait on every single hole. It took us 6 hours to play a round of golf here. 6 HOURS!!! I've never played a round that long in my life. I'm not sure if this was a product of a couple of slow groups or if the course let too many people on at a time, but a 6 hour round is unacceptable. Beware golfing here on a Saturday afternoon.
Not badge
Not a bad course. It’s wide open and usually in good condition. Do not come here unless you have a group of four. They WILL pair you up.
Great value course, easy layout
Enjoyed golfing at Indian Boundary. The course layout is fairly wide open, so shot thats hook/slice are still typically playable. The course conditions were good for the cost paid ($49/pp w/ cart) and the pace of play was good, not great. Slight wait at each tee box but never more than a couple minutes. Greens were fairly slow. Friendly staff.
Easy Course very playable
The course is in good condition. The greens are generally good with subtle breaks. Looks like they recently installed new drainage pipes as there are a lot of minor ruts across fairways. Grass in burned out in some areas but rolling the ball slightly will get you to grass. I found the course too easy to be really interesting. I’m an 18 handicap and I shot an 84 on a day when I wasn’t playing my best. Also the round took 4:45 as we waited on every 1st and 2nd shot.
Greens need more attention
The course overall is fairly straightforward and well kept. I felt like the fairways were very dry (like hitting off concrete). The greens were attrocious uneven cuts, players not re-sodding their ball marks and littered with geese dropppings (which suprisingly I had zero 3 puts)!
Great condition, great value
First time here in many years, never seen the course in better condition. Grass, sand, greens, all very playable.
Introduce your friends to golf by taking them here.
It's a wide open course that is still secluded from the big city that surrounds it. We encountered deer on the course, which was a bonus on a delightful day. Folks, this is not a particularly difficult course. But it's a gem in a major metropolitan area. It's the kind of place you bring friends to give them an appreciation for golf while giving them a chance to score well on a few holes. It's been a wet spring and early summer, which might have contributed to the course being in such good shape. Who cares? I had a great time and a lot of casual golfers will, too.
Thumbs Up
Very fun course with awesome scenery and wildlife. Course was in great condition, would definitely play here again!
Indian Boundary Excellent
Played IB on Fathers Day with my son. Course is in excellent shape! It is situated on a natural preserve and we saw a dozen deer the day we played!
The greens are beautiful and deceptively fast. The course was built mid 20th century and the greens are small-which is great!
The course is not long but places a premium on keeping it in the fairway. The rough is not long but thick.
This is a busy municipal course and rounds take a little longer. But it’s still a great venue.
The beverage cart cane by us a half dozen times during the round! The starter and staff are wonderful and friendly. I highly recommend!
Ground very hard
due to lack of recent rain, ground was very hard and dry on the tee boxes.
Never Again
Half hour waiting after tee time to start. Very unorganized. Fairways were beat up & not well maintained. Pace of play was terrible & no ranger to be found. Won't be going back to this course.
Thank you for your review. We hope to see you back again soon.
