Best Value in Chicago
Best value in Chicago by far especially with the Chicago card. Can get backed up but building a put out and chipping range.
Hidden gem being revealed
You use ti be able to walk onto this course almost any time Saturday and Sunday and not wait more than 10 min to tee off! Not anymore! But you can get in sooner than any other course.
This course is great for all players. If you slice or hook, the course is forgiving. If you want to a good score and play without a driver or 3 wood to practice with your other clubs, this course offers that. Enough hazards to keep you on your toes and pin placement can challenge you for putting.
The chipping area is getting a makeover and a putting green is going to be added. The course needs water stations or drink person. A food station would slap.
Pace of play is decent, this is more for newer players to know that 15 min a hole is the absolute max in my mind. Most people walk the course but still.
I would like to keep this course of all the radars but the only way to get a better course is to get more people playing.
Solid Public 9 Holes
With very wide fairways and fairways and rough that weren’t too dissimilar, this course was a fun and easy round. The greens were simple but kept in good shape. The sand traps were put in solid spots. Overall it wasn’t a difficult course with anything other than some trees on the edges and a few bunkers. I liked the course overall. The only negative was the pace of play. It was a Sunday afternoon and took two and a half hours to complete the 9-hole round.
To all the snobs.
I’ve played this course plenty of times, no matter the conditions, weather, or how busy it is, I couldn’t recommend this place enough. Fun, wide open fairways to let you unleash on your favorite clubs, and great for beginners. Got my girlfriend hooked on golf playing here which is every golfing man’s dream. Play a round here, don’t take yourself to seriously, and most importantly HAVE FUN!
Nice, easy for the price
Wide fairways. Good greens. Mostly flat. Some holes long but doable. Would be better if it had junior tees but great for beginners.
Simple, affordable, and fun golf
Went out on Easter, rainy day. Was able to play 9 very quickly. Greens are in great shape barring one or two literal swing divots people took off of them. A fun, short course that would be great for beginners and experienced golfers looking for a quick 9.
Get what you pay for
No golfer courtesy or awareness on this course at all Was hit into and at MULTIPLE times during the round. Tee boxes don't actually exist and people are crossing back and forth on your fairway and going to their ball to play it with no respect for the people on the actual hole.
Not once, but twice had someone pick up my ball that was just off the fairway and had made clear it was mine that I was going towards.
Even was approached by a gentlemen that did not like that I called him out for not saying Four when there ball flew past our head.
Would not recommend at all - plenty of other 9 hole courses in the area.
Decent city course
It’s fairly easy to get in to play but the course grounds themselves could use some work. Lots of dry patches/dead grass, many spots of uncut grass, and some uneven tee boxes. Will definitely play again though
Best 9 Hole Value in Chicagoland
Bar none the best value for walking or riding in Chicago. The course has been consistently making improvements on the tee boxes and the greens. I left 4 stars because there is some room for improvement. I’d love them to smooth out the 3rd and 7th hole which I’m sure they are aware of. Overall ace of play is good but gets backed up with a lady’s tee time on Sundays at 7:50 which is annoying but can work around it. All together great value and a fairly open course . Staff is great. Also wish they could have coffee/ beer and chips and a dog but that might increase the price.
