I really enjoy playing this course. It's relatively flat which makes it easy to walk. What I find year in, and year out is where's the the freaking SAND!? Additionally I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks those greens rolls way too slow. Why don't Jackson Park put up some kind of decoys to thwart off the geese? I have to go straight home and shower after my round because I leave smelling like geese poop yuk!
Hello Beautiful
It had been years since I've golfed JP. My loss. I couldn't have been more pleased with the condition of the course and the greens. Lake Michigan views, mature trees, some really lovely landscaping...just gotta be really careful and patient crossing a couple streets. With the on-going road construction the entrance to the park is poorly marked, and just off the ROAD CLOSED sign. Good luck! But worth finding your way in.
Good Choice
This course is a good 18 hole course that presents a good variation of challenges for the recreational player. Wide fairways, good green play, adequate buckers (need sand upgrade), trees and various lays and grass lengths. Worth playing and excellent for evaluating equipment.
jackson park
city course so you can’t expect much. layout was fine. conditions were poor. not a lot of bang for your buck but easy to get to so you can’t complain…. $50 course with a cart, should have been like $30 in that condition but oh well
Great shape
Course was in good shape. Short par 4’s.
Good course to work on game.
Great course from the past.
This is a wonderful course. One of the prettiest anywhere with views of lake Michigan and J.P. Harbor.
Trees and beauty abound .
Unpretentious and a challenge to any handicap without being punishing.
Slow pace is a little bothersome but take the time to see the beauty of the design.
Great but short course
Great course but so short and in need of updates for today’s golfers
Very slow play!
Tee time was 230 and was backed up from there. I was a single and know one lets you play threw. Kids playing 5 in a group and walking. The guys behind them playing as if there on tour. Looking at putts from every angle. No ranger to supervise. Only played 5 hole and left. If your a decent golfer this course is not for you. All your doing is waiting on every hole. Thank God it wasn’t the weekend!! The price is too much for the wait and how short the course is! U can find better for the price they charge and the wait!
