About
Formerly known as Poplar Creek Country Club, the club was transformed into the Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club in 2011. Besides just the name change, the design itself was dramatically reinvented. Fifteen holes were completely redesigned but the golf course's most memorable holes were left untouched. Bunkers and fairways were reconfigured and fescue was planted to provide more depth and definition. To make the course even more challenging, new lakes were also added. The golf course is definitely a shot maker's layout that rewards accuracy and thoughtful strategizing. The final three holes are considered by many locals to be the toughest finishing trio in all of Illinois. It begins with an uphill par 4, followed by the longest par-3 and par-4 holes respectively. The Bridges of Poplar Creek C.C. offers a round that will challenge even the most avid golfers.

End of season
It's end of season and course shows it. Greens were not as fast as normal, but tees and fairways were fine but showing wear. This is always a fun course and enjoyed round. Bar was open with still good selection, food selection limited.as can be expected at this time of year.
When we arrived for our 2:40 tee time we found out that there was a high school tournament and it was running late. The desk person told us we could go next door to the simulator for free to kill some time. We knew we would be lucky to finish before dark so we stayed near the first tee to get off as soon as possible. I’m pretty sure they also told us we could golf at half price but we haven’t gotten any discount yet.
Nice course
Fast greens, water on some holes, some tight fairways some wide open. Nice design, decent sand (not many rocks) not overly long by any means but offers challenges with 4 tee box’s to choose from.
Amenities include a driving range and a very friendly staff.
Slow play
Had a group of 4 ladies in front of us 2. They never even looked at us muchless ask if we'd like to play thru. They eere so slow, we finally skipped a hole and eent around them. Where was the ranger?
