Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club
About
Formerly known as Poplar Creek Country Club, the club was transformed into the Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club in 2011. Besides just the name change, the design itself was dramatically reinvented. Fifteen holes were completely redesigned but the golf course's most memorable holes were left untouched. Bunkers and fairways were reconfigured and fescue was planted to provide more depth and definition. To make the course even more challenging, new lakes were also added. The golf course is definitely a shot maker's layout that rewards accuracy and thoughtful strategizing. The final three holes are considered by many locals to be the toughest finishing trio in all of Illinois. It begins with an uphill par 4, followed by the longest par-3 and par-4 holes respectively. The Bridges of Poplar Creek C.C. offers a round that will challenge even the most avid golfers.

Slow play
Had a group of 4 ladies in front of us 2. They never even looked at us muchless ask if we'd like to play thru. They eere so slow, we finally skipped a hole and eent around them. Where was the ranger?
Bridges of popular creek
This coarse is a bit challenging but fun. With 9 holes over water and pretty difficult greens, make sure you bring your A game. The pace of the coarse was pretty slow but that was because of the group in front of us. All in all i highly recommend this course i really enjoyed it.
Hidden Gem in Hoffman
I tried this course out on a random Wednesday in August. I was so glad that I did. From the pro shop to the greens keeper everyone was super helpful and friendly. The course was maintained on par with other courses I have played at and paid more for.
There was a very friendly starter who gave some excellent tips to keep the ball in play.
I was playing as a single, so I moved through the course very quickly. I had one small pace issue when I got behind a 4 some of students who were walking. They were very polite and let me play through so this wasn't an issue at all (plus I was way ahead of pace).
The scenery is gorgeous. There is a reason it is called the Bridges of Poplar Creek, there is a lot of water on this course.
The bunkers are well placed and it is all about shot selection here.
All in all it was a great round and a value for the price. I will play here again.
Wait for tee off
For some reason they decided to let a 20 person group outing all tee off right at our scheduled tee time. We waited almost 40 minutes just to tee off.
Very good value for the money.
Bridges is a very nice all around facility and a sporty balanced layout.. It’s in solid condition overall. Black tee boxes are pretty marginal but that’s the only complaint on conditions. Greens are in good shape although not blazing fast, but fast enough to be enjoyable. The course is not supposed to be a brutal challenge and it’s not. It’s just a nice pleasant round that asked you to hit it pretty straight off the tee. Fun day.
