Delay, delay after another delay!!!
I love this course but everytime, i mean everytime I play this course they have no carts available, start at least 1/2 hour to 45 minutes after scheduled tee time and no course marshal's ever. The pace of play is slower than slow, I'm talking 5-6 hour rounds and when you tell them about it they won't do anything about it. The staff is rude, uncaring and nowhere to be seen on the course. This is a joke that nobody at Casper golf care enough to do anything about the pace of play, conditions or staffing problems?? Way beeter options in the area than this place! I'm done now and forever with this course after many, many chances!!!!!!! Very unhappy.........
This course has holes varying greatly in length and has obstacles.
I was very satisfied with the course. I have played it before and yesterday was no different.
This course has great features

Best course for the price!
This is the best value in the area. The course is challenging and in good condition. It has plenty of hazards and requires an accurate drive on many holes. The only downfall for this course was when I went it was hot/humid and every water cooler was empty. I'll be back regardless of that, just BYOB!
great place to play. need to get players to speed up.
great for average players. wide open fairways and large greens.
it has been, and will continue to be the absolute slowest pace of play course in Illinois!
Groups were going off the back when we were making the turn.
6:00 am tee time. Groups were going off the back when we were making the turn - unbelievable. Everything was all backed up on the back, as a result. Sprinklers going off on other holes during play - that even happens on the weekend. You get what you pay for here. Worst course in the area IMO. The staff here is completely clueless. Unless someone twists my arm off, I'll never return.
Nice coarse for long hitters!
Some times you get those slow movers here. Very relaxing enjoyable coarse. Driving range and two putt/chip greens. Very hard to judge distance with only 100, 150 above ground, 200 and 250 above ground markers. Wish they would label sprinklers. Wouldn't pay over $40 to play!
Like the course
On of the nicest golf course in the area! Green keepers take good care of this course, I love to play again!
In good condition and terrific value
Played July 2 and the course was in excellent condition. I've always liked the layout here and the price through GolfNow was very good.
Nice Course of the money
I hate the pace of play issues at this course. They have tee times to close together and it causes backups from the 1st thru 5 tees. It was fathers day however a 6 hour round is a little nuts.
Highland woods,Hoffman Estate ,Illinois
Course is in excellent condition, Fair ways are in grete shape,Greens are in excellent condition
5 hour rounds
Good course not a lot of water. the only problem is that they send groups off too tight and they do NOT enforce any kind of pace of play. Probably the 2nd nicest Forrest Preserve course behind Dunne but would rather spend a few more bucks and get done in 4 hours
Challenging but forgiving
Really enjoyed the course as it is a very well maintained public course but they definitely overbooked. We had a Sunday 10:30 tee time and there was 4 groups in front of us on the first tee. We didn't tee off until 11:00.
for as much play as this course gets, greens are in good shape
super senior rate, course not overly difficult and greens surprisingly in good shape. staff is always friendly. normal pace is generally very slow, would recommend some keep pace ambassadors to speed up play.
This course is easy to play
All and all the course was in decent shape except for the bunkers which were all unkeep. They looked like they haven't been raked since the spring. The course is great for the average play, but way to way to easy for a low handicapper.
Have never started here at booked tee time
Slow course play
Sometimes see 5 people on holes
Lots of wildlife
No homes on course
only one parallel fairway
County Golf Back on the Radar
It was not too long ago that the Cook county Illinois courses were in disrepair and in need of face lifting, in particular, Highland Woods. Now operated by a private company, Highland Woods is in the best shape since its inception nearly 40 years ago. The greens were properly mowed and fairly fast, generally the bunkers were consistent and playable. The overall conditions of the grounds were acceptable with minimal grounds under repair. I would play the course again and recommend any of the discounted times available through Golf Now.
Nice layout
Challenging but fair. The greens were in excellent condition.
The play got somewhat slow on the back nine. Other than that, it's a nice layout for the $$
Many wide open fairways.
Good scoring course. Can miss fairways and have a good second shot to recover.
