Nice course
Very nice course and most facilities good for a public course. Driving range only has mats which is a big negative but I l limit range time as practice is over rated. Course in good shape. Chipping and putting good. Don Ross design evident and challenging. Ranger was a bit challenging. We were told we were way behind. 10 minutes at the turn and spot on at the end is way behind. Group behind us at worst were pulling up to there next shot as we were pulling away from ours. Drink cart and 19th hole service outstanding. Food and drink delicious and reasonably priced.

Nice medium-difficulty course
Beautiful July mid-80 degree day in Chicago, and a beautiful course to play. Majestic, stately old clubhouse greets you upon driving in. Parking was sparse, lot was full, had to use an "unofficial" space. Thankfully, the course played at a decent pace. Our twosome was paired up with another and we were of similar capabilities so it worked out well. Played from the "grey" or hybrid tees - at 5800 yards - perfect for our "senior" skill level. Course was in great shape: tee boxes, fairways, greens and traps all nice. But watch out for those traps - they are deep and thickly rimmed - blast-out a MUST. Can turn a par into double real easy. Favorite holes: N0. 5 - short right dogleg; NO. 7: par thee over water signature hole; NO. 13: long, tree-lined par 5; NO. 15: short, par 3 over stream to elevated green. Two holes require "bell ringing" due to blind tee-shot over hills. Nice course!

A Must Play!
Making my rounds around the southwest suburbs and I found this beautiful course. This is a classic country club layout with challenging holes and excellent course conditions. Best bunkers in town and even with all of the rain....My hats off to the greens keeper. Guys up front were super friendly and overall this was an outstanding morning. Keep it up! I'll definitely be back!

Great bones, watered down...
I had really high hopes going into this round and overall, I was really impressed with my first trip here and to a Ross. It poured the day before, which led to a phone call from staff saying carts wouldn’t be allowed. Very glad this happened as I don’t have a carry bag, but they do have push carts.
As for the course, standing water was all over. Not their fault. Nor were the extra squishy greens. Staff may have taken this into account as some pins were tucked. I really enjoyed the design, but based on prior readings, the greens have shrank over the years and trees have been added that provide nothing.
I’d definitely recommend this course to others and honestly can’t wait to visit again, hopefully when it’s drier.
