Nice mature old style course
Got a HotDeal on a course that none of us had played before. It was quite a haul from our western suburban location with construction on route 53, but worth the trip. It was a cool windy day, but not bad for this time of year. The course is only a par 70, so it plays a lot longer than the scorecard would indicate. We moved up to the Green tees and glad we did. There are lots of water hazards with a few streams crossing the fairway, which forces you to lay up. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens were in great shape and it's a beautiful course with lots of mature trees. The rough was thick and lush. Had the best golf course hot dog at the turn and stopped for a beer in the fancy clubhouse after the round. I wish it was closer, but we'll probably return later in the year.
Range was empty. No starter/ranger to manage pace of play. Golf staff didn’t understand or tell about use of cc (additional fee) vs debit. Too many greens/tees run close to each other or cross in front of each other.
overall the course was average. would have a much better rating if not for the sand traps,( rocks & stones) and the tee off area was uneven and poorly maintained. these need proper attention.
Disappointing experience
They try to fit as many players as they can before a league tees off and then it bogs everything down
Solid track for muni
Nothing exceptional but solid little course. Greens in good shape. Pretty short but still legit. Good value.
Nice course
Very challenging, narrow fairways, lots of bunkers, water hazards. Nice well kept course
Pleasantly surprised
It’s been decades since I last played here and am happy to get reacquainted. Course is in really nice shape and the greens are smooth and true. Way more water hazards than I remember but they may have been added since my last visit in the 90’s. Good halfway house directly across from 10th tee makes it a quick stop for something grilled right there at the turn. Will definitely play again and bring extra balls next time.
wELL KEPT UP. GOOD CONDITION FOR EARLY IN THE SEASON
Great staff
Had an issue at the course with pace of Play and they took care of it for us great staff
Always a good time there !!
Ranger & Staff are super friendly.
Too expensive compared to other courses in area
We were looking for a place to play on Labor Day and most morning tee times were still available less than a week out. It became apparent that this was due to value for the money.
It is just too expensive when nicer, better kept courses in the area are $20 to $30 a round cheaper.
