Old Orchard Country Club

Rudest and most unprofessional experience I have ever gone through golfing.

Do not ever go here. We were 25 minutes ahead of pace and a lady from the front came over and TOOK OUR KEYS OUT OF OUR CARTS at the green on the 16th hole and told us we can walk back. We had a 2:40 tee time and we’re getting ready to go to the 17th hole at 6:00 pm. That’s 40 minutes left to play 2 holes which is well ahead of pace. I’ve never in my life had someone try and tell me at a golf course that I should finish a round of 18 holes in 3 hours. That’s on top of us waiting on every single hole for the 6 some in front of us. I made it clear that I have back issues and cant walk back with my bag 2 miles. She refused to give the keys back saying I want you guys to learn your lesson? Once we walked back to the clubhouse the lady (her name is Symantha Rohwedder) refused to give us a refund for being denied to finish our round.

Worst golf course in the Chicagoland burbs. Never come here unless you wanna get scammed out of $50.

Pace was slow tee boxes are beat up no flat footing. Some hole (par 4s) roped off can't drive cart on them.

Reasonable price when you can find deals. Golf leagues are not listed, so when you show for tee time ot may take you longer than normal. Course numbers are very hard to figure out with super hidden hole numbers.

Zipped along as few were out playing. Finished in 3 1/2 hrs. Sporty, fun course.

Fun course to play!! Great pace and didn’t have to wait in the group in front of us. Halfway house brats were amazing! Course very close together

Enjoyed everything about this course. Fairways and greens in good shape, beautiful landscape. Know your distances because there are enough hazards to make your day a challenge. My only issue is that when I went into the ruff off the fairway the grass was pretty thick and very easy to lose balls. A number of times I knew where the ball landed but couldn't find it. Was the same for others in my foursome. Found some, lost others but I know where it landed. Maybe the grass was due for a mow but it wasn't very high, just thick so not really a quality or care issue. More of a heads up.

The course was in great shape and we played in 4 hours on a Sunday.

Was pleasantly surprised by course conditions and course. Pace was slower than liked but pretty standard for Fridays these days.

Greens could have been faster but were about what I expect for public course. Only reason I could think of for some of the bad reviews is that it is priced like a top end public course and probably somewhat overpriced.

We have played Old Orchard many times over the years and it was always in great shape. Unfortunately, on this visit, the course conditions were horrendous, I can't believe they would keep a course in these conditions, especially for the dollar amount they charged, It was embarrassing. My group will never go there again. Thanks.
