Streamwood Oaks Golf Club

I am a local resident and it was threating rain all day but I figured I would try and squeeze in 9 in the afternoon. I was going to head out and play but decided to use tee off and save $5.00 to play with a cart in case it rained hard. I got there over an hour early and nobody was on the 1st tee and only two groups went off during the 1 hour the guy made me wait. Again no reason he couldn't let me go out with nobody on the course but chose to say, sorry its the rules. The greens were so slow you would have trouble even getting the ball to the hole. I could live with that, but making me wait 70 minutes for no reason is not acceptable. I offered to walk in case it was the use of a single cart by myself was the issue, nope made me wait. It may be the closest course to my home, but it's never going to be on my list of places to play again.

Well I observed a course in Patience and Professionalism by a staff member of Streamwood Oaks named Al that was quite admirable. The person I was booked with on the site showed up late for the tee time and was yelling at this staff member Al who was checking in guests about taking his own cart. He kept this up while this staff member Al explained the rules Streamwood Oaks follows. This person kept yelling and demanding his own cart and I walked away because I was already late on my tee time from waiting and wanted to get to the tee box. I then observed this staff member Al walk outside with this person yelling about taking a cart to the parking lot that was not permitted and offered him a push cart to walk to the lot with and pick up his clubs. Whatever the reason this person had for his demands YOU DON'T SHOW UP FOR GOLF LATE and then make demands and treat someone with disrespect. My compliments to the staff member Al for the way he handled this situation. The course was in great shape and extremely difficult. Clubhouse was spotless and comfortable. Staff and management top notch.

I have never been treated so badly in my life at a golf course I purchased a tee time off of hot deals from golf now and never had any issues. I ended up being 5 min late and the front desk guy was a complete jerk to me and said well your late so automatic no refund and you cant play. What a joke just because he hates his miserable life doesn't mean he should take it out on others. I didn't see anyone on the first hole or about to tee off or anything. I understand I was late and even offered to skip a hole to be back on a time where I was supposed to be he still said no. I understand if they were really busy but they seemed very slow to me. What a complete joke to Streamwood!

Many reviews complain about the unfriendly staff but I have yet to run into any such problems. The course was not crowed and the pace was great we finished in less than two hours

I enjoyed playing first time here. Some tee boxes are under repair but overall, course is in good condition. Watch out for driving in to houses as they line up on left of fairways. Water in play on several holes.

A bit wet, but with all the rain we had , they really managed the course very well.

Extremely slow play! Golfers were more interested in managing their umbrellas to block the sun than playing ready golf. Clubhouse staff was friendly but very I’m flexible when it came to allowing people to play with their family. I was a single golfer that would’ve been happy to go before or after but they insisted on me playing with them. Made for their afternoon to be not as fun as they had intended. I apologize for that and I am a nice guy.

Nice 9hole course with mostly wide fairways and friendly staff. My son and I were paired up with an older couple that were friendly and fun to play a round of golf with. We will be back
