About
Arrowhead Golf Club in Wheaton offers 27 holes of championship golf. The entire course features water on 17 holes and 77 strategically placed bunkers. The course is divided into three nine-hole courses that can be played in different 18-hole combinations. The club opened in 1927 but two of the golf courses, South and East, were renovated in 2011, followed by the West nine a year after. The golf courses are all equally challenging but they each have a unique character. The West/East Course starts with the shortest nine but it also has one of the most intimidating water holes, the par-3 seventh, which has a green that is almost entirely surrounded by water. With such a challenging variety of courses, it is not hard to imagine why Arrowhead G.C. is considered one of the best municipal golf courses in the Chicago area.

Great Day
Very nice layout and course in great condition. Greens fast and some tough pin placements.
Really nice golf course. Pace of play was 4:15. Look forward to playing again.

Well-maintained course (although the dry spell has made some traps hard).
Beautiful course
Such a well maintained course with absolutely stunning views. So well kept that the fairways blend into the greens almost seamlessly. Great great value for the price. Can’t wait to go back! This will become one of the regular courses I visit throughout the year.
Perfect golf
Staff was great, course was in fantastic conditions. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were all in amazing shape. Unlike most public courses in the area with greens beat from ball marks not being repaired, Arrowhead's greens were in private club condition: smooth and true, perfect speed and more importantly no ball marks to dodge - truly kudos to the grounds crew and apparently the local members who are proud of their course and take care of it. Best condition I played all summer in over 30 rounds
Greens Are Back
I reviewed this course in April and said it was “borderline unplayable,” largely due to the courses obsession with ever-faster greens. Well, perhaps someone listened. I played again in August and for the first time in three years the greens were not cut so short that the sand under the grass was exposed. The greens were, in fact, nearly perfect. I shot 77 and I can’t blame any of my mistakes on the greens. Last time I registered my complaints with a staff member, he shrugged me off. In private, I think he took my concerns to someone in charge. Thanks for listening to your valued and concerned customers and making changes for the better. The course was borderline perfect, just like my drive on the treacherous West No. 6, which set up a tap in birdie.
Great Course
Course is challenging yet forgiving (wide holes). Fairways carry fantastically and the greens are fast. Had my longest drive on West hole 9, drove the ball 10 yards from the edge of the green! Will definitely play this course more in my future.
On an off note, the screen in my cart that tells hole number and yardage died 3/4 way through the round.
