About
Chevy Chase Country Club (formerly known as Traditions at Chevy Chase Country Club) in Wheeling is one of Chicagoland's top public golf facilities. Thomas Bendelow designed the golf course in 1925. The classic layout remained largely the same until 2002 when a major renovation updated the course and made it more challenging. The layout now has deep pot bunkers lined with tall native fescue that border the generous, rolling greens and undulating fairways. Though it is more challenging than it was, the golf course still offers a player-friendly round. Four sets of tees also ensure that golfers can play to their skill level. The course finishes with its signature hole, a par 5 that features water both left and right of the landing area off the tee. Three massive bunkers and yet another pond all fiercely guard the green as well.

Favorite Course
This is my favorite course. It’s like a private course. I’d play here every day if I could. Not an easy course at all but manageable for players like me that don’t play as much as I’d like. Just enough water to make it interesting. 4th hole is my favorite.

The course was good overall
Two things that I don’t like are:
1. About a half of time I hit my balls to the rough, I lost them
2. Cart path only even though the course was dry, which makes it even harder to find balls getting into the rough
Other than those, I recommend this course.

Great course
This facility is awesome. The location, price, condition, and layout are pretty much the best in the area. Because the course is near a branch of the river, it does take on water when it rains heavily. Other than that, this course is very playable and a lot of fun. Good mix of holes.

Nice layout
This is an older course that is well laid out and fairly well manicured. It is relatively short but it is tight,The greens are fast but very receptive. Would definitely recommend anyone to play this course

Great condition
The course is in great condition, the spaces out tee times allows us to play without ever waiting and we finished in under 4 hours. The greens were fast and rolled true. It has some challenging holes but overall not too hard.

greens a little slow and many divots. need to get someone to punch those out. rough was thick but fair. by now all sponges should be removed from cup and rakes and ball washers should return. facts are that surface contact is rare in catching covid.

Great Midwest Track
Always a great time playing at Chevy Chase. A few bare spots in a few fairways but the course is always in great shape. Manicured nicely.
