Best course in south bend, was in great condition for late September

Had a 4 some on a Thursday in September, 2 days before ND home game. Rates good-$69, pace good, and in spite of overall dry conditions, course in good shape. Have not played here in 7-8 years.

Only lack-1person at check-in pro shop, 1at grill, one cleaning carts. They used to have personalized service, someone to schlep your bags from drop area down quite a few steps to load on cart. We’re all young(68 yo) but some players likely find steps treacherous.

Also, when was the last time they used the “ Blarney hole” prior to #1? Only was open 1 time over 10-12 years, but was a unique attraction about Blackthorn

Great course. Great staff. Courteous and friendly.

Super fun course with multiple tee boxes. Fairway Greens and tee boxes were in excellent condition.

Course is scenic, clean, and maintained very well. Starter was on top of things and had the foursomes moving without delays. Greens are very hard to putt and approach shots do not hold the green. Makes is tough to score. However, a very challenging course with a great test of golfing ability.

Enjoyed the play. Range pitching and putting green were great. Food and drinks good.

Would like to ask that access to and from the parking lot be a little easier.

Although Blkthn has gotten a little pricey, we try to play at least a dozen rounds per season.

Venue is well kept, well manicured and a great layout.

Personnel is friendly and efficient.

Overall, wonderful course.

Course was in excellent condition. Well groomed and maintained Greens. Rolled extremely true, although the undulations are real.

First time playing so was out of position a few times but definitely will be back.

Great public course,greens can be fast but always in great shape. Very scenic and plenty of wildlife

Course is great. Fun layout and good condition. Pretty disorganized off the first tee. There were 10+ people waiting on the tee when we pulled up. Evidently one group booked before our time and the rest after but all wanted to play in consecutive tee times. Basically we were forced to move up a tee time without asking us. Then because the group that was supposed to be in front of us refused to go on time there was a gap between us and the group in front of us, so we got multiple pace notifications from the pro shop within the first 6 holes (the group behind us was not pushing us, and we finished on pace). I enjoy this place but it’s very disappointing to see their own lack of organization result in them harassing us about pace when it was not an issue.

Course was in good shape.

Staff was excellent.

Pace of play was slow.

We’ve had a lot of rain in this area, so conditions were wet and we played cart path only.

Pace was slower as a result.

Fairways/traps were a little sloppy in a few areas.

Greens and tees were in good shape.

Overall wonderful layout and a lot of fun.

Great course which was also in great shape. Greens were smooth which means the balls rolled true.

The course has a good layout. The course is in great shape and greens roll well and pretty fast. Good practice area. Friendly staff.
