Course is a cow pasture. Not groomed, over grown. Can't tell the difference between the rough and fairway. Worst course I have ever seen
Good shape
Course was in good shape. Fairways nice and rough was fair.
Need to adjust tee lengths
Rough was too high and the difference of tees not measured out right for second tee to third tees too much difference 900 yards
Perfect greens
The course was in great condition. The greens were perfect, speed and looked great. The course played a little harder due to the wind blowing and very gusty. Will be going back again. Good value through golfnow
Great Rework of Course
It has been several years since I played this course as it was just very boring after playing a few times. Now the difference since Altec has taken over ownership and they have spent some big money on the course.
They have switched the nines and done some great work sprucing up the course to change the overall look of it. The bunkers are in fantastic shape and very well groomed as well as the fairways and rough. The greens are in fair condition with some bad spots, but most every course in the area is having the same issues, the speed of them was fast on most but some seemed a bit inconstant. The par threes are very interesting, giving a verity of different looks and shots. The old mansion is now the club house and pro shop and the bar restaurant is wonderful. They only sell their brand of beer and bourbon and other alcoholic drinks but they are also good choices and the food was very good.
This course is really getting better with all the improvements they have made, in fact I would recommend you give it a try if you've not played it or it's been a while since you did. I ended up playing it twice in the same week I was so impressed with it.
Nice round
Had not played course in a long while, pleasantly surprised by new layout and course condition, I really like hole # 5 a par three , it should be the signature hole, just a great looking golf hole. Nice pro show and friendly bar, just need to sell better variety of beer, not everyone likes the one and only brand they sell

Great value!
Mowers should move for golfers, not the other way around. Otherwise a fantastic experience. The course was in good shape and considering we started before 8, pace of play was never an issue. In fact, I've never had an issue with pace of play. If your looking for a round of golf at a great value, I highly recommend Connemara.

Great Value
Fun and fairly challenging course laid out over a beautiful tract of land. My one criticism is that the greens were not in great shape. I don't need them to be Augusta-perfect, but several of the greens had major bald patches.

A must play

First Time in a long time
This course was a bit of a surprise. I had played it years ago and it was in terrible shape. I had heard from some friends that a good deal of work had been done and it was in good shape now. I loved playing the course yesterday. The greens were in great shape, the tee boxes were in good shape, the fairways were nice And wide. Some of the par three's are very picturesque and layout with par fives back to back is an interesting change. Overall, I give the course high marks and I will be back!

course in great shape
Have been playing this course about 6 times per yr since 2014 but lost interest because of deep ruff mostly front 9. This was my first visit back this yr & course was in great shape. Greens & fairways were great & ruff was much better. Hope they keep it up as I will return more often.

A good slow day
The greens were in great shape. The rough is what you expect from a Kentucky links-style course. It's a completely open layout with high grass guarding boundaries. The course was overbooked and the pace was extremely slow.

Rough not mowed at all
You can be one foot off the fairway and can't find your ball. Low rate vs balls lost...hunting balls all round even on shots you think are pretty good. Ridiculous

Great Course with Excellent Clubhouse
Great course for the money and has all the Kentucky Bourbon beers on tap (they are owned by the brewery). Have golfed here several times (annual vacation in Lexington) and have always enjoyed the course.

It had been awhile since we've played here.
It had been several years since we have played this course, and we were very pleased with condition and worked that has been done..#5 par 3 has had a total overhaul...beautiful hole...

Good course
Course was in great condition but the staff needs to be educated on golf etiquette. The mowers will not stop for you to hit the ball and literally will drive 10feet away from you while you swing. This happened multiple times.

Overall great course
The par 5s on this course are legit par 5s. Every other hole seemed like a par 3 which i did not personally like. The rough was extremely long so if you don't hit fairways plan on spending extra time looking for your ball. Even the fairway grass was a little long. But overall is was a really good course and offered some challenges. There were also a lot of blind tee shots too

Connemara is always good value for your money. Greens are still a bit firm and bumpy, fairways are magnificent - but as usual the tee boxes are a balancing act and the rough is way to long. At 6+" it makes finding you shot very hard and slows play to a crawl at times. Plus the height is dangerous to play. Where not at the U.S Open people

Good
The rough was thick, and lost good tee shots. Overall a good course to play at, Greens have been aerated in the last 2 or 3 weeks.
