Connemara Golf Course

Great course already in nice shape after a way too clod winter and floods this spring.

It was a solid course. It was a little frustrating that we paid for 18 and only completed 18 because the pace of play was so slow. I think this was due to league play .

Greens were not kept up with. I repaired multiple ball marks on each green. Weather had been moist but greens were still burnt a little. Not enough staff to maintain course. Advertised lunch "hot dog, chillie,cheese ".... got a hot dog with mustard.....

Booked using a hot deal and was very impressed. The restaurant and clubhouse are very nice too.

My partner and I usually shy away from being paired, but the with the volume of players this day we understood. We were pleasantly surprised at how well we got along and hope to pair with them in the future. All of this to say that Connemara tends to bring out the best in whomever you play with.

As for the course - alternate tees are being used until the refurbished ones are done; fairways and greens are in excellent shape; there are very few obstructive trees or other objects in the fairways; #4 is still under construction, and it looks like summer before it's fully functional.

This is a quality facility with friendly personnel, ample and challenging putting green and expansive driving range.

We will be back for sure!

Great course. Absolutely beautiful, greens are in great shape.

Great course and somewhat challenging with a good mixture of narrow and wide fairways. Very challenging bunkers and hard to read greens.

The course is nice however it is not in good condition right now. There was only 9 holes open. Hole number 5 was closed completely, so there was not an entire 9 holes open. The grass was way too high. If you were not in the fairway, it was difficult to find your ball. I have played this course in the past and it was in much better condition. I would wait a couple of months before playing the course again.

the course was under water and there was at least one hole on the available side to play that was under construction in unplayable. The greens were aerated and I was not notified of this at all.

This course is a surprise value. The facilities are good, the layout is good, and everything was in good condition. One of the best golf values in Lexington, and when you use golfnow, its even better. The bunkers needed a little work, but considering how fast this course has improved over 3 years ago, the bunkers will get the needed attention soon.

This was my first time to Connemara in over 5 years and the improvements are clearly visible. I would suggest giving Connemara a try if you haven't played it recently.

Connemara is a beautiful course with a great staff. I was able to play on a Saturday morning in 31/2 hours. Pace of play was great and the course gave a good challenge. A perfect course for a round of golf with friends.

It seems like every time I play at Connemara, the pro shop staff always puts me in a good mood and I feel better when I start to play. All of the staff seems to go out of their way to insure that we have a good experience. After playing golf, we had lunch and I was quite surprised at how friendly Maya was and she recommended several choices for lunch, which was excellent.
Nick was the first staff member I met and Larry was the last one. Kudos to both of those gentlemen for making our day a successful one. I would recommend this course to anyone.

Nice course. Wish they would fix the par 3. Greens were in good condition overall. Nice deal received through GN. Brought the itch back to play again after a rough winter!

I showed up 15 minutes early for my tee time, and the guy in the pro shop told me my playing partners had already checked in and got the carts and teed off. I mentioned that I wasn't late or anything and he said he knew that, but it wasn't his problem they had gone on and it would be up to me to track them down.

This was one of the first days above 50 degrees in several weeks, so I expected the course to be busy. Instead, the course was grossly overbooked.

When we arrived there were four groups waiting on the first tee. After settling up in the pro shop we were told that two holes were closed that day. Nearly FIVE AND A HALF hours and only sixteen holes later, we finally finished our round. We were even forced to follow a group of seven (yes - seven people on one hole at the same time) for several holes. This, of course, could easily have been avoided if the ranger the pro shop mentioned had actually existed.

All in all it was very dissapointing .

I enjoy playing this course because it has a mixture of tough and not-so-tough shots, so as not to completely overwhelm the average golfer. The only problem I have is that it's almost impossible to get in a 4-hour round here. Maybe it's pure coincidence, but every single time I've played this course (with 1 exception, when it was very chilly and rainy), the pace seems awfully slow.

Got this round for me and my brother in law. Great price. Course in really good condition.
