Connemara Golf Course

Not one thing I would change period!
It was a picture perfect day (75°)

I have played Connemara three times this summer. It is in excellent condition tee to green and a pleasure to play. A great deal fro anything under $25!

Course is in outstanding shape.. They have really come a long way in the past few years.

Beautiful golf course. The rough was a little deep and I lost a couple of balls in it but over all great conditions here. Played with a couple of locals and had a great time. The clubhouse was fun as well, quite social. Got the hot deal which was a terrific value.

I played Connemara on July 12th with my wife. The course was in great shape, the lake is beautiful. The par 3 on # 5 is now open, I scored a par, so it was worth waiting for!
I think Connemara is a hidden jewel in the Lexington area. The staff are friendly and they keep the course in great shape. Connemara is an excellent value and I look forward to playing there many times in the future.

It had been several years since I've made a visit out to Connemara and I can hardly believe the improvements. Course conditions are much better than I remember, and they've completely revamped the practice facility to make it wonderful, one of the best in the area easily. They've also torn down the old pro shop building and remodeled the old house on the hill to make it the new Pro Shop and restaurant bar area with a beautiful patio. To top it all off the staff were absolutely wonderful. If it was just a little bit closer to my house I would be out here all the time!

The course is easy to find. Good looking proshop and food area. Not a long course and fun to play

Two really easy fixes by the golf course staff would have improved the golf course condition and it's playability. The tee boxes were not mown, really brought the impression of the golf course down and should have been an automatic maintenance issue done daily, or maybe every other day. There are many blind tee shots - some type of middle fairway marker for direction would have been really helpful for those playing the course for the first time. We liked the challenge this course presented, excellent pro shop, and very nice bar area. They closed the bar area early, we would love to have had an ale to end the day. Also, one of the par 3's was under construction, I assume for improvement.

Pace of play was great. The course conditions are great except for #5 being closed for repair, but it has come in nicely since I played it last (several years ago).

I recommend Connemara for all skill levels. The party 5s and part 4s on the back nine are long and present a challenge for any player, regardless of skill.

Great course already in nice shape after a way too clod winter and floods this spring.

The course was in good condition

It was a solid course. It was a little frustrating that we paid for 18 and only completed 18 because the pace of play was so slow. I think this was due to league play .

Greens were not kept up with. I repaired multiple ball marks on each green. Weather had been moist but greens were still burnt a little. Not enough staff to maintain course. Advertised lunch "hot dog, chillie,cheese ".... got a hot dog with mustard.....

Booked using a hot deal and was very impressed. The restaurant and clubhouse are very nice too.

My partner and I usually shy away from being paired, but the with the volume of players this day we understood. We were pleasantly surprised at how well we got along and hope to pair with them in the future. All of this to say that Connemara tends to bring out the best in whomever you play with.

As for the course - alternate tees are being used until the refurbished ones are done; fairways and greens are in excellent shape; there are very few obstructive trees or other objects in the fairways; #4 is still under construction, and it looks like summer before it's fully functional.

This is a quality facility with friendly personnel, ample and challenging putting green and expansive driving range.

We will be back for sure!

Great course. Absolutely beautiful, greens are in great shape.

Great course and somewhat challenging with a good mixture of narrow and wide fairways. Very challenging bunkers and hard to read greens.

The course is nice however it is not in good condition right now. There was only 9 holes open. Hole number 5 was closed completely, so there was not an entire 9 holes open. The grass was way too high. If you were not in the fairway, it was difficult to find your ball. I have played this course in the past and it was in much better condition. I would wait a couple of months before playing the course again.

the course was under water and there was at least one hole on the available side to play that was under construction in unplayable. The greens were aerated and I was not notified of this at all.
